Yes, I know it's being discussed in the Development Camp Announced thread. I don't care about camp so I don't visit the thread — I do care about the first round pick getting injured. I'm guessing others scan the thread titles for news, and this board falls very flat in that area. So I see no reason a major development can't be broken out of the megathread. But the moderators certainly are free to delete this thread.

Interesting take. I’ve thought this board makes too many threads. A lot of threads can fit inside other threads, but many like to make their own thread. Then the same topic is discussed it two or three different threads.

One of a few Examples would be a “around the NHL” thread. All league news worthy things could go there that aren’t Sabre related. But instead several threads are made that are “around the NHL” news. Then posters have to click into several threads to try to read all the news coming in. I know this won’t happen unfortunately, but I like a slightly more neat and tidy board where topics that can obviously fit into others threads are merged. Just a preference. Oh well. ?‍♂️

Good Topic that deserves its own thread.

He has an appointment with the Sabres Hand Specialist tomorrow, so there should be a press release after that.

Hopefully he is Ok to play in the World Junior

Showcase Series in Michigan later in July.

In other news Brandon Hickey is expected to start the season on IR, with Bilateral Lower Body Injuries suffered after the scrimmage.

He did get lifted off the ice on a hit.  It's not like the injury came from eating popcorn.

A few days have passed.  I’m thinking of Hickey’s human reaction.  “Yeah, I made an impression stopping and dropping the top prospect”, or “Oh, no, I’m a distant third cousin who just crashed the family’s new Corvette at the family picnic.”

What's worse is that he had an injury to his left hand!  Bust!

I'm sure the Sabres know.  They just haven't released information yet.  You know what that means, right?

It means nothing at all.

Doesn't sound "bad" to me.

What if there is tendon damage?

Maybe it’s me but it’s a total bummer that a guy with significant potential that we picked all of 5 minutes ago is already undergoing a surgical procedure on something he uses to hold his hockey stick.
