Tondas Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 Great career. One day he will be enshrined in the NHL Hall of the Very, Very good. 1 Quote
dudacek Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 Don’t see him as an NHL Hall of Famer, but one of the all-time Sabres for sure. Quote
PalmTreeMafia Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 He'll retire as the all-time career wins leader for American goalies, though Quick will eventually surpass him for that title. He was absolutely elite for a period of time in the NHL and should have had a Stanley Cup title or two if ownership had been more devoted and management more proactive. 1 Quote
nfreeman Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 One of my favorite Sabres of the post-Dom era. 1 1 Quote

Do you think Miller’s contributions outside the NHL are enough to get him in, or at least get him over the top? Edited June 21, 2019 by dudacek Quote

dudacek Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 Looking at season-by-season he really only was elite in 2010. No cups, one vezina, one 1st team all-star, 1 silver medal/Olympic MVP But he is 16th all-time in wins. Quote

Stats or not. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 Plus his style has always allowed his teams to play more aggressive and leave him out to dry. His stats would be better if the teams he played in played a more defensive game. he was just so good on break aways. Him and Drury were my favourite players when I first got into hockey. I hope he signs a one day contact and retires as a Sabre 3 Quote
shrader Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 Is there something more than just the quote in the twitter post? I don't necessarily read that one as "it's my last year". Or maybe it's because I haven't seen Major League in ages. Quote

It seemed more like he was just saying he's playing at least one more year in Anaheim, but nothing about it being his last year in the NHL. Seems that's up to the Ducks/Cali teams as to whether they want him as a backup and keep playing. 1 Quote
