I think it came from the movie Mean Girls, but it was definitely in the response to the OP trying to get everyone on board with calling Ralph Krueger RaKru.

No to the RaKru. Sounds like a vacuum cleaner when I say that name.

And.. Thankyou.

You're welcome. And I agree. RaKru is horrible and it's hardly any shorter to type than Krueger or Ralph. I generally go with Kreuger or RK.

Yep. The gist of what he said was that he expected his path to continue in the direction of his EPL experience, except likely in hockey.

But as he talked to people about opportunities, it was Botterill’s that got him the most excited - an opportunity to lead and develop potential in a market that would appreciate it, in a milieu that has always fired him up and been closest to his heart.

Looks like we got us a Chet here. Isn't that right, Chet?

I see Muffy as being the air headed self entitled trophy wife type but it's definitely open to interpretation. I see Chet as being the male counterpart to that. The air headed, self entitled, bosses son type who was born on 3rd base but thinks he hit a triple to get there.

I really only weighed in so that I could make a Foghorn Leghorn joke.

Never watched the show, but Phoebe ... there's your Chet and Muffy.  Both.  Yup.

Would expect Muffy to be more Ursula than Phoebe.

FYI, I will be plagiarizing this line in the future.

Me too.  Frazier and Lilith are textbook Chet and Muffy to me.

And well played it was.

As a Fort Worth resident, I approve this message.

I like it better as RFK.  The F$%@ing gives emphasis, either good or bad, depending on context.

I saw that formulation. I just can't get past thinking of Bobby Kennedy.

Yeah, there's that angle, but this is a hockey forum.  Unless I take it to The Oval Office, I think context makes it clear.

Frasier and Lilith are an excellent example of the Chet and Muffy type although I always pictured Chet as more of a Donald Trump Jr. type. Your example is probably better.

And we must think of the children, too.

I appreciate the sentiment, but didn't the whole Chet & Muffy trope jump the shark around the same time that "jump the shark" jumped the shark?

It's "Nuke the fridge" now
