SABRES 0311 Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 (edited) Hey everyone. This thread is dedicated to U.S. foreign policy regarding South and Central America. There is a lot to talk about concerning migrant activity, Venezuela and third country involvement. The reason I am creating separate threads for each geographical region is to make searching for information and discussion on specific topics easier. As our foreign policy differs by region/country, it can be easy for conversations to drift if all in one thread. As always please let me know if this helps. Edited May 4, 2019 by SABRES 0311 1
SABRES 0311 Posted May 7, 2019 Author Report Posted May 7, 2019 The Venezuela issue would be incredibly messy. I see it as another Iraq/Afghanistan situation where we have the Venezuelan military, cartels, probably paramilitary elements, and a civilian populace that would look to us for food and protection. Essentially another nation building campaign. Not to mention third country involvement. I haven’t even thought of the terrain.
