StL was the first team I ever saw Buffalo play live as a child.  They have had my rooting interest ever since.  I’ll cheer for them over those gat damn, no good, puck kicking cheaters any day, draft pick be damned.

Do not lose faith in the Stars attempt to upset the Blues.   Apparently the team was "distracted" during the game.   Rest assured.  There is no chance this will occur in St. Louis on Tuesday.    Stars win.

McAvoy should be in trouble for that.  Blatant headshot, not sure what the ref two feet away was seeing there, really.

Wow!!! Only a 2 min penalty. Holy cow!

He needs to be suspended for that hit. Dirty dirty dirty.

I have no words.

Every professional league claims they care about player safety, then something like that gets all of 2 minutes. Way to send a message.

I already hate the Bruins. They don’t need this help.

Read on twitter and then had to look it up to verify this (and it's true), but rule 48 (Illegal check to the head) can only be enforced with a two-minute minor or a match penalty (attempt to injure).  No 4 or 5 and a game misconduct.  So the ref may well be able to argue (wrongly, but in good faith) that the hit didn't meet match penalty status and was just a bad hit that happened to be in the head.

What in the world?

And yet another Boston team gets the benefit of a silly, obscure rule that shouldn’t exist.

I’ve seen lesser hits get called for majors, even during this postseason.

That JT compher, what a player.... We could use a guy like.... Oh.

Also that hit by McAvoy was something else, also when it was 3-0 I was hoping for some revenge, but CBJ just stood down, kinda sad.
