Any player worth moving up for from 7th? Alex Turcotte comes to mind depending on the price of course. Sounds like there isn’t too much of a difference in quality between 4 and 7. I wonder what the ask would be. Quote
Hoss Posted April 11, 2019 Report Posted April 11, 2019 Why are there 73 prospect threads? Let’s talk about the prospects in here so I don’t have to open 23 pointless tabs. 1 Quote

I could swear I read a piece within the past month or so that said Central Scouting has actively downgraded the amount of weight it gives size in its rankings. Wish I could remember where. Sorry. Crusader1969 Posted April 15, 2019 Report Posted April 15, 2019 Think the pick has to be of Dach, Zegras, Turcotte or Cozens. If all 4 off the board - then I go Byram. 1 Quote

If they are all off the board that means we will have our choice between Pod and Byrum. I’d sprint to the podium for Pod, and like Byrum a lot. Forget the Russian factor, Pod is a stud. 1 Quote

Sabre1974 Posted April 15, 2019 Report Posted April 15, 2019 I reckon redwings may take Byram at 6 Quote

LGR4GM Posted April 15, 2019 Author Report Posted April 15, 2019 Signed him. Starts next year. Headed to the Amerks now Quote
Brawndo Posted April 15, 2019 Report Posted April 15, 2019 Has been compared to Tory Krug 2017 4th Round Pick 4 1 Quote
Zamboni Posted April 15, 2019 Report Posted April 15, 2019 Nice signing. Good addition to the Amerks. Quote
Brawndo Posted April 15, 2019 Report Posted April 15, 2019 Something about no one wanting to sign with the Sabres. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted April 15, 2019 Report Posted April 15, 2019 If he turns into Nelson we’ll be lucky Quote

Let's see what we learn about him at the combine. I guess you really never know. It will depend on how Sabres (and other teams) feel about him after interviews and all their background work. Are there examples of truly high end players, top-10 draft picks who have decided to just stay in Russia? I think it’s very uncommon. I might have do some digging on this. Quote
