Thorner Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 (edited) There isn't another major league with a post-season so drastically different to the regular season as the NHL, right? It's basically a different game and mindset and I'm starting to entertain the idea that these Lightning aren't so assuredly positioned to find success as I thought. Imagine being a GM, you have to build a team that can compete in two different game-types. Edited April 12, 2019 by Thorny 1 Quote
Zamboni Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 It’s almost like .... it’s hard to win the Stanley cup ... Quote
Zamboni Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Hubba hubba hubba ... Tampa Bay is in trubba trubba trubba ... Quote
Thorner Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Tortorella is an ex-factor here, isn't he? 1 Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Islanders game has a small town feel about it. That old barn they play in is kind of neat 1 Quote

JJFIVEOH Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 I'd love to see Torts beat his old team. Might be their last chance with the potential of Bob and Panarin leaving. If the Lightning loses this round, there is no doubt Cooper is gone. 1 1 Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 If Columbus holds on that place is going to be vibrating next week. Quote
Kruppstahl Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 Who's watching TB and Columbus? Columbus is playing great and TB looks all freaked out. One more solid period and Columbus can take this baby back home up 2-0. I love it. LOL! Zach Werenski with the first "Gordie Howe hat trick" in Columbus franchise history. 1 1 Quote
freester Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 I think if Tampa loses this series they will make some big changes in the offseason. There were rumors they were interested in Risto. 1 Quote

That's getting a little ahead of things, but by all means, a huge TB shake-up would be really interesting if it happens and Buffalo finds a way to get involved with that. Quote

Torts locked that stuff down! Quote

Thorner Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 Watching Seth Jones neutralize Kucherov and co makes me positively giddy that we have Dahlin. 1 Quote
dudacek Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 Jones is so good. Tampa would be nuts to fire Cooper. I’d fire our coach to sign him even if we just hired him two days before. 1 Quote

If they can't at least make it to the Finals, would you want to hold on to him? In my opinion, I'd take several guys before I took Cooper. But, that's just my opinion. ? 1 Quote

Zamboni Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 Torts is not only eating Coopers lunch and French kissing his wife, but he’s also doing that with a s*** eating grin and Blue jackets Jammies on. Quote
dudacek Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 I’m as surprised as anyone, but people have been selling Columbus short. The have an elite goalie, a deep defence led by one of the best in the world, they’re built for grinding playoff hockey and their forward lines are deep enough that Boone Jenner is on their fourth line. 1 Quote
French Collection Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 I see how coaching can make a difference when Barry Trotz walks into the Islanders room and transforms that team. 1 1 Quote
Hoss Posted April 13, 2019 Report Posted April 13, 2019 I love this Jackets team. Jones, Werenski, Duchene, Panarin, Dubois, disfunction... it’s wonderful. Quote
