They need middle-6 talent badly. Should be someone pretty easy to get in the low 10s. We need to break this "No playoffs? Time to tank!" mentality if this team is to ever truly shake the losing culture. Go out with your heads held high. Enough of this race to get #1 every year.We got Dahlin, be happy. Agree. The people who want to lose don’t get it. Winning is better but most important is trying your best. Tanking is wrong and it’s bad for any team We are going to get a good player with our first pick. 5 Quote
dudacek Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Nashville ties it up. More good news for the draft. But it’s the Sharks game that matters most. Quote
Pimlach Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Dahlin says Skinner will have a “Happy Contract” next year. Love it!!! 2 Quote
Ogrish Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Damn, the Avs sure made out on that trade with Ottawa. They have the #1 slot now. Quote
dudacek Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Finished 14 points better than last year, 27 more goals for, 9 fewer against. Quote
Ho-Chi-Sock Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 I think Dahlin said something about he lost his love of hockey this year and that it all starts with him. Weird. Quote

Pimlach Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Hey Reinhart is growing a beard. Looks like he added some muscle too. I forget how young the core of the team is. He is definitely maturing as a good player. Recall the year he was drafted, he was not ready to play in the NHL, very small and in need of strength. Mittsie - hit those weights please. Try the Eichel workouts. 2 Quote

Which is basically what we should have done (at a minimum) last season. If this is used as a benchmark for progress, my head is likely going to explode. 1 1 Quote
Pimlach Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 (edited) Sabres came together for the final few games, that is nice but there is so much work to be done. The stretch from January thru March was really painful and unpleasant. We literally watched them consistently lose to teams below them in the standings, forget how to play on the road, and fail to string two good games together. It was the strangest stretch of any season I can remember ... like one of those dreams where your running but not getting anywhere. Edited April 7, 2019 by Pimlach 1 Quote

The face you’re making realizing drafting lets says 6th in hopes that one player can immediately fix our middle six needs doesn’t equate to what we could get trading Hughes/top pick would fetch for middle six help. ? ct fab Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 Nashville won, pushing STL tona wilcard. What implications does that have on our second 1st Rd pick and what do we want to happen in the wpg and SJ games? Quote
dudacek Posted April 7, 2019 Report Posted April 7, 2019 (edited) You care mostly about the Sharks. If they win, we pick 27, lose and it’s 22 (might have a chance of 21) if Jets win and Sharks lose, we might stay at 22 or jump to 21, depending on who holds the tiebreaker between Win and SJ Edited April 7, 2019 by dudacek Quote
