How about YOU give ME $50 plus pay for my Uber, my dinner, my beer, my escort after the game, plus an additional $0.50 for the time wasted reading your post and typing this response...because that's the price of my time I'd be willing to waste on these ***** losers.

hold out for a day at the Orchids of Asia Day Salon.

Mike Harrington absolutely ripped the Pegulas this morning in his article.

For the hype it's gotten, I was expecting more scathe.

Well, he did write the owners don't know what they're doing, they're running things backwards, they're mostly in Boca, recent games have been embarrassing, everyone needs to eat blame, Jack's leadership has recently been for *****, Housley has lost the team, Housley needs to be fired, Dan Bylsma wasn't at fault, there needs to be a new layer of upper management, the development decisions for players has been wonky, and Botterill shouldn't GM Team Canada.

Was there something missing?

Readers here will note I have stressed every point made by Harrington, except one: Byslma is a terrible coach, that was a terrible hire, and he was a part of the problem too.

Otherwise, it's all spot-on.

On a positive note, Dahlin claims Olaffson has the best shot he has ever seen!  Super quick release and heavy.

I'm looking forward to seeing Olaf on the big line and hopefully some #1 PP unit time too.  I would like to see his shot.

Tons of guys these days  (and with these sticks) have wicked shots; it's common now.  I wish they would all shoot the puck like crazy.

As always, I'm looking forward to the game.  Dahlin is worth watching all the time, I want to see what Olofsson's got and want to see if Borgen can bring a second solid game.

Go Sabres!!

Meh, I myself wouldn't flaunt it if Harrington's opinions aligned with my own.  He's no Eye of Providence and he has no better hockey pedigree than anyone in the organization he opines about.  As a reporter, he's fine.  As an insightful columnist, let's be serious.

He’s a joke. Terrible writer. Asks the lamest questions at media scrums. And he sensationalizes like a 13 year old. I’m surprised people don’t see how obtuse and dramatic he is.

Most do. He’s generally despised on this board and the open disdain from his former colleagues Graham and Vogl is like nothing I’ve ever seen in the industry.

I think this might be the first game this year I don't watch. Record it to look at Olafsson later maybe but I think I will watch the Habs Blue Jackets game instead for some actual hockey. See if any of those temporary Columbus guys would be worth free agent targeting.

I know it's part of the group-think common at online Sabres forums to piss on The Buffalo News in general, and Harrington, Sully (prior to his departure) and others specifically.

Harrington is the only guy in a post-game Sabres dressing room asking anything close to tough, relevant questions.

Perhaps you prefer Paul Hamilton.

"Jack, you hit 2 posts and were stopped on a breakaway with an incredible save.  Was that a frustrating game for you from a goal scoring perspective?"

I record and watch them all on "tape delay".   Highly recommend it.  You can eliminate all pre-game and between-period garbage that way, as well as commercials.  Doesn't take too long to get through the actual game.

The WNY media community and in particular sports media community is TINY and it very much has a pleasant, go along to get along mentality.   Harrington never bought into that and conducts himself like an annoying, confrontational big city guy.

He's unpopular in WNY as a result.  None of that bothers me; I'm not the one dealing with him.

I decided to watch again. I am curious about three things: 1- the crowd response to this team; 2 - Olofsson’s play; and 3 - how the core looks (Eichel, Reinhart, etc).
