CallawaySabres Posted March 27, 2019 Report Posted March 27, 2019 I think the worst part about this entire situation is that there is 0 and I mean 0 chance this team has any hopes to sniff the playoffs next year either. 2 Quote

It's not not Ristolainen's fault. Really have to criticize management for the handling of Mittelstadt this season. After a few late season games, he was expected to replace ROR as our 2nd line center. He clearly wasn't ready. They should have realized that. 3 Quote

There isn't enough talent on this team. There hasn't been in years and whether you agree with the moves or not, we traded 2 of our better forwards and pretty much got nothing in return. Do you really think Kane would have re-signed with the Sabres in the offseason? Quote

Scottysabres Posted March 27, 2019 Report Posted March 27, 2019 The Sabres now hold the 5th spot in the draft rankings, pre-lottery St. Louis has the 20th, so that pick would go to Anaheim if the season ended today. Montreal pulled in to a 3 way tie with them and Vegas, and there is 6 games left, it'll be close. Quote

Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 27, 2019 Report Posted March 27, 2019 Housley is a travesty but Botterill deserves a lot of the blame. Exhibit A: trading one of the better centers in the league for a quitter, a loser, and a guy who should have been in Rochester a good part of the year. 3 1 Quote

So we either lose him for nothing, or we trade him as a rental to a playoff team. What do you think the going rate for a rental with a history of issues is? Quote
