Just look at their record the last 40 odd games. That's what makes it such a nasty last few months. We were this close to greatness (for this season's expectations, anyway). I got asterisked! 1 Quote

(Fewer than we did the season before.) And I still like Elias and Langenbrunner a bunch. And yes, those constant dead puck 0-0 games were entertaining in a different way. Tense. Aggressive. Flailing. We just haven't had it for so long we've forgotten. Quote

Record for most games shut out in a row is 1928-29 Blackhawks with 8, I think in the modern era its 4, a few teams had 3 like last years Sabres...... Quote

DarthEbriate Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Like most teams this season, the Penguins are better than us at Alamo/Death Star mode. On a side note, we don't look horrible at the moment --- even without the ability to sustain anything. What is our goal differential in the 2nd period this season? Is that easily found? Quote

Stoner Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Buffalo got nuked. I loved the sound of that for 10 seconds. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 I'm so sick and tired of hearing the "They just can't catch a break" excuse. Or "We just keeping facing hot goaltenders". Right, because the Sabres are the only team who has bad luck from time to time. Nobody else faces a hot goaltender. Nobody else hits the posts. I hope they get shutout like I predicted. It's unfortunate they are at home, I'd love to see the Sabres leave him at the curb waiting for a cab like the Panthers did to Spuddy. Quote
Indabuff Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Technical difficulties screen from Spectrum. Yeah, no *****. This entire team is. Quote
Stoner Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 Sabres ran into a hot goalie tonight. They've had chances! 1 Quote
