CallawaySabres Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Next year, the season will be over by Christmas, there is no fixing this team for 2 years minimum. 1 Quote

Honestly I’ve come to that conclusion... we need a goalie, a defenseman, a 6 decent forwards. That will take years. We are wasting Jack. 1 Quote
mjd1001 Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 This season (and team) have truly become a joke. For the first time ever, I don't come to these forums after games for any in-depth hockey talk. It's more like I have become an old person who can't stop reading the obituary page in the paper each day. I have never had that feeling with any team I follow...ever with the Bills or Sabres until now. 2 1 Quote

JJFIVEOH Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 At least when the Phlyers had their 10 game win streak and did't make the playoffs, they finished with 88 points. The Sabres will need to go 9-3-1 just to tie that. Quote
Beer Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Adios, pH can’t fault the players, yawn Quote

jad1 Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Great players in all sports hate to lose more than they love to win. That's a trait that the majority of athletes don't have. To have a successful team, the coach has to make those players hate to lose. Housley never had that trait as a player, and he has no ability to teach his team to hate to lose. 2 Quote

But apparently it’s not the coaches fault that we are still a bottom feeder. Anyone still wanting PH back next year I have to question their hockey understanding. Quote
Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 (edited) I firmly believe Phil will walk out of that office with his pink slip and still have that little grin on his face. Edited March 13, 2019 by Formerly Allan in MD Quote

It's out of fairness (not enough time, not enough talent). This is the N H Single Hockey Stick. You show nothing in two years — goodbye. 2 Quote

PerreaultForever Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Same old same old. As usual I thought Eichel was our best player tonight but I thought Nylander was supposed to play? Quote
Eleven Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 I am so happy that I went to trivia tonight and concentrated on that rather than on this Sabres nonsense. This is five losses in a row. I do realize that the captain is out, but oh, I am happy that I spent my time otherwise. Here's to doing something else again on Thursday! Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 I don’t get how they had some good/close games against Tampa earlier in the season and now the wheels have fallen off. Quote

I don't think firing the guy who built the team and the guy who runs it would be that bad of a thing. But he didn't build the team yet. The core was here for the most part....Jack, Sam, Risto, etc. He is in the process of adding to it. Quote
Jacque Richard Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Wasting eichel. That says it all. Quote
