Eichel ready to play the puck and absorb the hit... but leaves his shoulder in the way of Soderberg's chin. Soderberg's backing out of the poke check is what got him stung. If he pushes through, he's fine and no penalty either.

Exactly, whereas the hit on Eichel it wasn't the principal point, although the check carried up into the head. That's why Zadorov didn't get the hit to the head call.

Looks like a circumstantial hit and we are Buffalo.   Which means the league will send a message to Jack.

Agreed. But whichever ref saw it had an angle seeing Soderberg's head jolted. From a certain point of view, it's gotta be a penalty. Soderberg's gotta go harder after the puck though. If he does he pushes it into our zone.

It’s a weird play. Hit to the head but in the process of playing the puck. I think this gets a look from PS but no action.

And seeing how the dirtiest player in the league, Gudas, gets 1 game for swinging his stick at a guys head. No consistency with suspensions at all.
