Brawndo Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 with the Teams heavily scouting each other, is this the move?? Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Risto for point ? For real, what would that trade even be?? I'm not really in the trade risto camp, he's the only one throwing checks out there Quote
steveoath Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Kucherov, point, stankos. Any of those. But they'd better send a few picks our way too ? 1 Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 That’s the problem with twitter rumors. Without anything like: where did this come from, credibility of the source, and has it gained momentum, who knows if this is bogus. Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 wow, just wow. Tampa loading the hell up if they get Risto. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 I think we can safely assume Point, Sergachev and the other big guns are out. Miller or Gourde and...Erne? Quote

LGR4GM Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 isn't Cal Foote a tampa prospect? Quote

LGR4GM Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 So gonna hope a big RHD would be coming back if Risto is moving. 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 I could see Sergachev being Buffalo's target or something akin to Foote, Raddysh and Callahan for Risto Quote

This maybe correct, however the Lightning Director of Pro Scouting And Director of Pro Personel we’re in attendance at yesterday’s game. As well as Sabres AGM Steve Greeley scouting the Syracuse Crunch, there appears to be a lot of smoke around this one 1 Quote
Ho-Chi-Sock Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) On one hand, Risto's been my favorite Sabre for a long time. I'd really be sad if he were to go. But on the other...some combo of Miller/Foote/Sergachev and maybe a 2nd would help wipe some of these tears dry. Edited February 24, 2019 by Ho-Chi-Sock Quote

Sabel79 Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Some entertaining Eklund-worthy nonsense flying around right now... gonna be a fun 25 hours or so. (I don't think Risto goes anywhere) Edited February 24, 2019 by Sabel79 Not here, more twitter. Quote

The main guy coming back has to be a roster player who is useful for another 4ish years. Preferably not about to turn 30. A prospect, be it Foote or someone else, should not be the main piece. ct fab Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) We all know risto from a corsi rating, etc looks really bad BUT he always plays his best vs. TB, so that might help. I think it would be something like JT Miller and Foote. No desire for Callahan and his contract and I'm not even sure TB would do Risto for Sergachev straight up (certainly wouldn't fit cap wise for them anyway) Edited February 24, 2019 by ct fab Quote

Huckleberry Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Risto is on a good contract, they better be sending two good pieces back our way. Top6 forward and top4 D Quote

Foote would be a piece. Guessing Cirelli might also be a piece. Hard to say. Tampa is the poster child for good drafting and development. Quote

Tampa is the poster child for good drafting and development. Sure, but they're not centerpieces. Also, Tampa almost certainly wants to shed some salary to make their offseason more manageable. If this trade happens, hopefully Botterill channels his inner Skinner trade and not his inner O'Reilly trade. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 This would really piss me off 2 Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Just an FYI, Tampa's had 3 scouts at multiple Sabres games past 10 days or so, with 3 in attendance again yesterday. I'd say this rumor, has some wheels. Quote
