Hoss Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 So what’s the vibe here? That looks BAD. Doesn’t feel like a situation where there could realistically be a quick return regardless of what it ends up being. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Looks like a season-ender to me. Maybe if it's a low grade sprain he could come back in April, I guess. But not great. Fire up the tank gifs! *ducks* Quote
josie Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 That ankle spun right round baby tendons at best spiral fractures at worst Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 I'd almost rather it be a fracture. Those seem to heal quicker. Sprains tend to linger around forever. Quote

As someone who spiral fractured that area thanks to hockey- the tendons are usually messed up too. I still can’t do back crossovers on one side thanks to that. But I also don’t have good drugs and good surgery and good PT to work it back into playing shape. Who knows. Not good any way you slice it. Quote
spndnchz Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 He grabbed his knee though... Quote

Fire up the tank gifs! *ducks* Yeah whatever it is its really bad...he was grabbing at it as soon as he hit the ice and then did the "scoot like an injured animal" on the ground...afraid it might be an ACL with how his skate stuck in the ice and his body twisted when he went down... Doubt we see him anymore this year...hopefully it isn't the last time we see him in a Sabres uniform... Edited February 23, 2019 by matter2003 Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 I can't believe he came back. Legit shocked. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 TL:DR Totally fine. False alarm Quote
josie Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Whatever they inject in broken racehorses prior to a big purse is absolutely running in Skinners veins right now 1 Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Looked bad, maybe just a stinger? Definitely one of my favorite players now. This guy is just incredible. Thank you hockey gods for giving this gift to our beloved Sabres. Quote

bobs0108 Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Glad he came back and looked good but I can easily see him as day to day and miss a game or two after this. Quote

Wyldnwoody44 Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 I'm still upset that we didn't get some retribution, mitigated slightly by the win and Skinner coming back Quote

Not saying he was but his return makes you wonder. Quote
