darksabre Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 I think, in these games where Skinner-Eichel aren't getting going right away, it would make sense to swap Sheary/Skinner for a little bit. Quote
SwampD Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 That was a stupid entry by Jack. He had Pommers ahead of him with speed and he chose to make move at the blue line. We know he can create on his own. He needs to use his line mates better. Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 A boring uninspired period. After that OT loss you figure they would come out swinging. 1 Quote

For all of Scandella’s mistakes, he can still play at an NHL level. Sobotka is sub replacement level garbage. If Scandella were put on waivers today, half the teams in the league would put in a claim... if Sobotka was put on waivers today not a single team in the league would touch him. Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 Ok so I may be knit picking but Sobotka gets it over the line then stops skating. I know there was only a few seconds left but how about some tenacity. Maybe he wins the race maybe not. 1 Quote

Exactly, active coaching.. nowhere to be found Quote
Pimlach Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) Not much of a period. No home team statement. Not much energy. Road teams like a scoreless first. Edited February 9, 2019 by Pimlach Quote
SwampD Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 I still think Jack looks off. Twice I saw him waiting for a puck to come to him and twice a Detroit player skated to it first. Quote

He could have drawn an interference penalty or something Quote

That whole last thirty seconds guys were paying far too much attention to the clock in a negative way. SOBs lack of effort there was very noticeable and frustrating 2 1 Quote

Wyldnwoody44 Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 We're a 50 ft team, we either play all "D" and can't create, or we're selfish and can't defend..... We need 200 ft players 1 1 Quote

Pimlach Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 It may be nitpicking but the team does not work hard all the time. Sobotka has a job on this team solely because of face-offs. Quote

We all know how HCPH played as a player and I think our team reflects his soft play and defensive liabilities. Compare that to the last game with the Canes (Rob B. HC), who played a complete 200ft game with tenacity...The Canes reflected his style as a player. Quote
Cityo'Rasmii Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) Sheary needed that (as did we!) Edited February 9, 2019 by Cityo'Rasmii Quote
MODO Hockey Posted February 9, 2019 Report Posted February 9, 2019 Victor Olofsson hattrick, maybe its time to bring this kid up for some real hockey Quote
