Really starting to accept reality that this team is still 2-3 good players and a coach (not elite, but good) away from playoffs. If Skinner does not end up signing, we may be looking at 2020 until we see the light....

Let's hope they aren't without Reinhart long.

Good to see that Girgensons & Eichel are close.  Don't hate the idea of Zemgus skating with Mittelstadt (as long as we've given up on the idea of finding a new shut down line).  He's responsible defensively & a strong forechecker and has the speed to skate with Casey.  Let's just hope Casey's penchant for wanting to skate in a phone booth doesn't get him killed via an errant pass from Z.

Guess it sounded like Nelson is close too.  Did Wilson have a setback or has he only been practicing when they need an extra body?

If the Sabres keep losing, I'm going to need a rehab coach.

If Housley is replaced, his player usage will be a large reason why.

Along with the abysmal power play production.

And giving up 42 shots attempts/game.

And the team taking entire periods off without any accountability.

And lack of player development.

And poor clock management.

Eichel, Reinhart, Risto, McCabe.. Hell, Beaulieu, Nelson, Larsson, Girgensons...

Is there a youngish Sabre on the roster who isn’t better than last year?

Mitts started out on a good trajectory and then just plateaued.  He needs a change of scenery, be that new linemates or an excursion to Rochester.  I think he's really close at times; at others I think he's got a long way to go.  I think with the right linemates he could break out.  Give him Reino and Larsson.... I bet that line would click.
