jesus just put Samson at 1C

It's not possible to structure the lines in a satisfactory way if Eichel isn't in the mix. Not being snippy, it's just a futile exercise.

I know the world isn't fair but for things to turn over 180 degrees so thoroughly since the win streak is pretty cruel.

The season is over if Eichel misses extended time. And it'll be over around Christmas just like the last decade.

He probably just has the  flu but yes, we are a one line team.

I dont think we are playing that much different than we did during the streak.  Hutton was a bit better, the secondary scoring was better, but we got a lot of breaks and won a lot of overtime games.  We lost a few games were we played well too.

Really don't expect him to miss extended time.  Pretty sure he's got the (non-Berglund) flu.

Leddy did a good job keeping him from getting his stick on a pass through the slot in his 2nd to last shift, but nothing noticeably wrong then or after the face off in the Sabres end on his last shift.  Just came to the bench after Skinner cleared and Sobotka hopped on.

Flu doesn't seem to jive considering didn't Housley actually admit as much the last time a player was sick?

Well, if not flu, a mild groin would be my TOTALLY non-medical guess.  His skating & stick handling looked fine until he left.

He'd taken another short shift earlier which resulted in his wings and Mittelstadt getting caught out icing the puck.

No Eichel yet.
