Eleven Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Love Dahlin jumping in. The Saint Louis crowd is Buffalo circa 2013. 1 Quote

Brawndo Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Jack has to be look at Elie on Mittelstadt’s Line and be having flashbacks to D Lo on his wing 3 Quote

This version is... less good The modus operandi for this team is for the D to be aggressive, which seems to lead to some real brain farts sometimes, especially with other teams breaking out of their zones. Doohicksie Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 I like Sheary's game so far. Okie is playing well too. 1 Quote

Just like the MO of another coach I can think of. I love this. It relies upon very good to great goaltending, but the Sabs have had that this year. The kids will learn; there will be fewer brainfarts. Edited December 28, 2018 by Santa Claus Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Top line for the Sabres looks dangerous. Quote

My comment was more around his lack of confidence in the defensive zone. Puck jumping over his stick, bobbling passes and chasing opponents. Quote

CGorman Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 This is one of those games you really notice the lack of secondary pressure. The middle 6 get their chances, but there's no sustained o zone possesion. The first line is close to, if not already, elite. Fun to watch them (insert plea to resign Skinner). Quote
Samson's Flow Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 I think Remi Ellie is a great 13th forward to have for one game bursts of energy. He is very much exposed as a regular player when he doesn't have that "just called up" energy Quote
Thorner Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Pretty careless turnover from Reinhart at a bad time. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 ROR just schooled Dahlin there. Thank God for Hutton. Quote
In The Buff Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Sabres looking a bit jumpy in their back end tonight. Perhaps its that time off where they're not as tight Quote

Doohicksie Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Okay road period. Turn it up to 11 in the 2nd. Quote
darksabre Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 I think they need to simplify a bit in the second. I think there were times they could have made an easy play. 2 Quote

Kruppstahl Posted December 28, 2018 Report Posted December 28, 2018 Thought we controlled play the majority of the period; there was a 5 minute period or so where St. Louis came on, but overall we are playing well enough to win tonight if they do this for another 2 periods. 1 Quote
