Considering where we were last year, how many of these have been on the road, the quality of the opponents, the WAY they are winning, and above all,  the sheer amount, NINE.....this is an unbelievable streak. Significantly more impressive than 2006-07.

At least Detroit is playing back to back like us.  I actually like our chances against better teams because we seem to be more determined to play our best game and not down to the level of the competition.

Swords 3 - Wings 2

Called it!!!!

Of course Laine scores FIVE goals to move past Skinner for the league lead tonight...

Good for him. Obviously I want Skinner up front, but after a performance like that, Laine can enjoy the moment. For now.

Easy there.  I'll believe the 2019 Presidents Trophy when I see it.

The streak itself is far more improbable this season and therefore to me, far more impressive.

Who cares anyways. The guy has 3 assists. He's Brandon Pirri on steroids.

All I'm saying is the roosting chickens have to count to hatch, Julian.

I don't really think that has much to do with what I am saying, though. I agree with your sentiment, but I don't need to wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds to analyze the streak as it stands.

Points for the reference.

Perhaps, but remember the 05-06 team had 100+ points, so winning the Pres. cup the following year was not as much of a stretch for that team.  Going from last to first (albeit temporarily) against some of the best teams in the league with a new roster, inexperienced coach, etc. is highly unlikely IMHO.

Wow, 9 in a row.  This team just doesn’t quit.  Big props to Tage.  Heck of a game from him.  Linus was also outstanding.  Goaltending has gone from a weakness to a great strength.

First overall in the league!  No one saw this coming.  Man this is fun.

goodnight everyone!

Ullmark was the first star. Hands down. He saved it for the Sabs.
