Thorner Posted November 25, 2018 Report Posted November 25, 2018 Considering where we were last year, how many of these have been on the road, the quality of the opponents, the WAY they are winning, and above all, the sheer amount, NINE.....this is an unbelievable streak. Significantly more impressive than 2006-07. Quote

I actually like our chances against better teams because we seem to be more determined to play our best game and not down to the level of the competition. Swords 3 - Wings 2 Called it!!!! 3 Quote

Obviously I want Skinner up front, but after a performance like that, Laine can enjoy the moment. For now. Quote

I don't really think that has much to do with what I am saying, though. I agree with your sentiment, but I don't need to wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds to analyze the streak as it stands. Points for the reference. Perhaps, but remember the 05-06 team had 100+ points, so winning the Pres. cup the following year was not as much of a stretch for that team. Going from last to first (albeit temporarily) against some of the best teams in the league with a new roster, inexperienced coach, etc. is highly unlikely IMHO. Quote
