Alex Smith’s injury - 33 years to the day since Joe Theismann’s.

Alex Smith’s scary injury was 33 years to the days since LT broke Joe Theisman’s leg in the same injury.  Apparently Theismann was at game.  I can only guess the flashbacks Thiesmann is having. 

‘The good news for Smith is that medical tech has evolved significantly in 33 years.  My guess is Smith’s career isn’t over.  

If his career is over, Smith is lucky(smart?) that 71 mill of his new contract is guaranteed.

Also, JJ Watt and LT are the only three-time DPOYs, and both games happened in Washington, and both QBs were missing their Pro Bowl left tackle due to injury.

Really eerie set of circumstances.

I admire Smith's reaction to the whole thing.  He took it like a trooper.

I've seen guys that are not even injured flail around a lot worse.
