darksabre Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 Credit to Okposo for taking a look and recognizing that Dahlin wanted to cycle down 1 Quote
Thorner Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 Dahlin's best offensive play so far. That was awesome. I can't believe we have that to look forward to for 20 years. 2 Quote
darksabre Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 That goal was a series of classic "heads up" plays. Okposo picking up Dahlin and McCabe seeing an opportunity to cycle down low are things that mentally tuned in players do. These penalties are a real problem though. Bogo not having a great outing so far. Quote
Brawndo Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 Foligno was going for another hit on Dahlin. Risto or Bogo need to say hello to their old friend Quote

And, though I typically wouldn't want the bench shortened much on the 2nd game of a b-t-b, but really hoping that 3rd line only gets about 12 minutes. That could be scary bad. That Sobotka line has been much better than I'd feared. (Their final shift of the 1st not withstanding.) Gotta stop taking so many bad penalties. Quote
Tondas Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 Lucky to get out of that one just 1 down. Regroup for the 2nd. Quote
darksabre Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 The Sabres didn't have a morning skate today, right? Quote

I'm just pondering MODO's comments about Ullmark looking not himself. It almost looked like his skates weren't sharp enough and he was having trouble keeping up with Minnesota's speed because of it. Perhaps he'll look more settled in the 2nd. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 That pass from Dahlin was *filthy*. 2 Quote
Cityo'Rasmii Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 (edited) no question - it was beautious Edited November 17, 2018 by Cityo'Rasmii Quote
Huckleberry Posted November 17, 2018 Report Posted November 17, 2018 If you look at the goal, Foligno is trying to line up Dhaline right before he passes. He does seems to be gunning for Dhalin for some reason. Quote

hockeyhound Posted November 18, 2018 Report Posted November 18, 2018 (edited) Holy Moly, what a masterpiece. Mr. Dahlin, that was a work of art. Wow, did I say Wow? In case I forgot, Wow. I love this game. Let's Go Buffalo! Just turned on the game and watched the high-speed version of the 1st period, and then it happened. I saw a flash while fast forwarding, and then.... Wow! darksabre Posted November 18, 2018 Report Posted November 18, 2018 Gotta get the puck deep more. We're letting them turn us back above the circles too much. Ullmark getting a lot of work already. He needs to stop losing his posts though. Quote
... Posted November 18, 2018 Report Posted November 18, 2018 The hockey players need to keep it down, they're disturbing the library. Quote
darksabre Posted November 18, 2018 Report Posted November 18, 2018 Way too many unforced errors by our best players. Quote
