Phil Housley was barely a day into his new job as head coach of the Buffalo Sabres  in the summer of 2017 when he began to make a to-do list of all that lay ahead with the new gig, including the hiring of assistant coaches and the search for a new home.

But there was a curious item at the top of the list. First things first, he decided, he wanted to hire Mat Myers...

Nice story.  He sounds like a great person, excellent at his job and an asset to our organization.  Another shining example that PH doesn't know what he is doing.

What a great story it will make when he holds the Stanley Cup here in Buffalo.

It got sort of dusty in the room when I read this article, towards the end talking about his parents now supporting new parents of children with dwarfism. 

This month's Athletic subscription justified in one article.

Great article.  Thanks for sharing.  I love Mat's attitude.  It also sound like he is great at what he does.
