Watching the last minute again... the old lady with white hair who sits in the first row gave Kucherov the old skunk eye before the final draw. Hilarious.

Hhhhmmmm ...

Lamb ... yummy!!

Haha, told you not Ullmark. That was larceny by Hutton.

Ok I will say Tage did not look bad on the 4th line although I still Bergland was better and more calm at some of those key times.. A little too much standing around and backing up showing too much respect for Tampa.  I would say they stole this one playing that way.

They better get back to playing on their toes instead of their heels on this upcoming trip. Curious when Ullmark will get his next game Definitely one of the back to backs I'm guessing Hutton gets next start , ullmark the 2nd of the two and Hutton back in for Pgh.

Immediately adding Hutton's post-game interview hat to my Christmas list...

"What do you like best about your team?"

Hutton: "Our resilience."

It's been forever since that was a thing in Buffalo.

Not a great game for the Sabres but they figured out a way to win. Reminded me a little of last year with them being hemmed in for a lot of the last 2 periods and just dumping the puck out when they got it.

As someone who only saw the last two periods, so take this post with a grain of salt (my eyes for the first period told me that they played well), I can't say that this is true. But the Sabres beat the better (than every other team in the league IMO) team tonight.

What made the difference IMO, was that the Sabres buckled down, and made good defensive decisions when they needed to. Enough can not be said about Hutton. Yes, Tampa was the better team, but my point was that the Sabres didn't fall apart, and they did it as a team.

They were the better team when it counted; they won the small battles along the boards, etc. When they needed it most.

I don't believe it was all luck.

I hope that clarify's what I was trying to say.

To be fair it was only Milberry. Carter said we need the points more than Tampa, which is a fair point

You're right that is why I clarified it was Mulberry. My mistake.

Milbury likes to get his digs in on the Sabres.  He acts like he still wears a Bruins jersey.  The guy is annoying on many levels.

He called Skinner a reclamation project from Carolina, WTF?

I like this Hutton guy.

Has nothing to do with his play, but it's nice to finally have a goalie that looks like a normal guy in post game interviews. We haven't had that in a while

Is that the lady Jack celly'd with after the goals to beat the Rangers last season in his second game back?

Not that there's a high standard, but easily Tage's best game of the year.  He played much better than any other game this year.

It is great to see Sabres hockey be entertaining again!  It’s been a long time since I have posted. The wait for a competitive team seems like it’s finally over!

Also pretty much any points they get in these four games are gravy to me. I'm hoping for lots more gravy

That's what... No. I can't.

It's never a bad thing to play poorly and still win.

Bodes well for when you get your shizz together.

I don't they played bad at all. They controlled the play in the first half. They likely hung back in the latter.
