Stoner Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 After video review, the ancient Jason Pominville was the first Sabre to show a discernible reaction on the bench when Ristolainen scored. Stick lift. Who says reaction time slows as you age? 1 Quote

Told the wife, his shaky play early had to be 1 of 3 things: 1. 1st game in Moe-ray-all since WJC 2 years ago; 2. Being paired w/ Beaulieu again; or 3. Key-beck's drinking age. ;) Quote

Randall Flagg Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 And in things to look out for: IMO, that's two bad games for Pommers in a row now. Quote
thewookie1 Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 Risto's celebration was him shooting a gun...... he sniped the the goal on Price so he was doing the sniper celebration. Quote

My math has them at 92 points this season at this pace. Probably not going to cut it, they need more. Great win, though, keep them coming. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 What's crazy about the OT play is that it's identical to Risto and Sam being caught down low against Calgary. But ERod was better at defending than Jack and MTL missed the net. Quote

I thought he's been pretty solid I thought he had a lot of trouble with positioning in both zones, struggling with the speed of the play. It's a very real possibility that the things I saw were because we played two of the speediest forward groups in the league in those two games though. I'd not be willing to take him off the line just yet, I'm just praying his legs stay under him as long as possible. Edited November 9, 2018 by Randall Flagg Quote

Who knows what his effect is on those two? Fer sher. Just saw a tweet that Risto is first in franchise history in OT goals from a defenseman. (Yeah, OT stats deserve asterisks now that 3v3 is a thing) Quote
