IKnowPhysics Posted November 7, 2018 Report Posted November 7, 2018 I'm in Cincinnati for work, and apparently it's $1 Beer Night tonight at US Bank Arena. We have Jonas Johansson and Vasily Glotov, who else is down here? Quote
MakeSabresGrr8Again Posted November 7, 2018 Report Posted November 7, 2018 Judd Peterson, Pascal Aquin, Anthony Florentino, and Devante Stephens come to mind. Quote

IKnowPhysics Posted November 8, 2018 Author Report Posted November 8, 2018 Justin Vaive is down here too. He's a 6'6" monster. Quote

Great name: Zombo. 1 Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted November 8, 2018 Author Report Posted November 8, 2018 Chili and chili dogs are like Cincinnati's only regional ethnic food. I feel that if they didn't already have the appropriate infrastructure, they would have killed everything in the Ohio River years ago. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted November 8, 2018 Author Report Posted November 8, 2018 1-0 Nailers after 1 on an Ottawa bounce off the backboards for a big rebound. Glotov by far the best skating ability down here. Vaive wearing the C. Quote

Some of us thought Florentino and Stevens had NHL potential. Yikes. Thanks to Pilut, Guhle, Borgen and obviously Dahlin, we don't have to worry about that. Quote

IKnowPhysics Posted November 8, 2018 Author Report Posted November 8, 2018 Pascal Aquin ties it up on a rebound. Vaive gets the go-ahead about 30 seconds later with a sweet tip from a sharp-angle shot to make it 2-1 late in the 2nd. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted November 8, 2018 Author Report Posted November 8, 2018 (edited) Wideman feeds Vail for a breakaway and he puts it backhand five for a short to make it 3-1. At 4:20 into the 3rd. Nice. Edited November 8, 2018 by IKnowPhysics Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted November 8, 2018 Author Report Posted November 8, 2018 Marnell with the EN to make it 4-1 Cyclones with 2:31 to go. Quote

I'll take Sahlens all day over that nasty fat dog stuffed into skin. Gross. Edited November 8, 2018 by inkman Quote

Sabre Dance Posted November 8, 2018 Report Posted November 8, 2018 Apparently, I've been working too hard. When I first read the title of the thread, I didn't read "Wheeling Nailers"; my brain saw "Kneeling Whalers". Honestly, I'm scared for my (mental) health...? Quote

They taste ok. I’ve eaten them from the grocery store and I’ve eaten them at Ted’s. Average dog. Zweigles have the best flavor. Nothing beats a pop open on the grill. In college, we had people from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and downstate NY and some other areas do a blind taste test. Zweigles were number 1. And they won the most people with no regional attachment. Hoffman’s were second. Sahlens 3rd. Nathan’s 4th. Quote

Not a big fan of the flavor but ultimately it's personal opinion. Quote

For whites, there with you on Hoffman's (sp?). For regular dogs, going w/ Sahlens. The way the skin chars up is flat out delicious. Quote
