Saw that one coming from a mile away. I’ve been getting ready for my night so I’ve watched out of the corner of my eye and seen so much sloppy hockey. A ton of plays where we’re an stick’s reach away from the puck and not making the effort to get to it or disrupt the play.

Yup. Columbus was given the chance to blow by and they took it. Mittelstadt with absolutely zero effort there. An embarrassing moment for the rookie.

Like I said upthread; it's like Montreal and Buffalo reversed from the other night.

I agree.  He's having puck handling issues a lot this year.

My guess is there’s definitely some adjustment for a guy who has played with a long stick his whole life and suddenly moved to a more reasonable length.

Thompson is looking better tonight but he seems to struggle with hand-eye coordination. Loses the puck a lot.

Okposo showing a lot of urgency without panic which I love.

I meant that he (Eichel) looks injured in some way.

Yep, he has been playing a very Physical game for the last bunch of games and getting as good as giving.

That's not easy to do with out some pain.

I know. I’m not sure if that’s actually the case, though. I do think there’s some signs of stick adjustment overall. I’ve seen him short arm quite a few plays this year.

Jack was laboring on that last chance. He might be hurting.

Yep.  Something's up.  On Columbus's third goal it was obvious.

Don't watch his stick; watch his movement  / lack thereof.

Jake McCabe not on the bench per Joe Yerdon

Yeah, well Joe Yerdon's not on the bench per Jake McCabe.

Actually there are no Sabres on the bench at this moment

There was a play on the far wall specifically where he could’ve kept possession in the offensive zone. I definitely focused on his stick but maybe he didn’t get involved because he’s hurting moreso than he thought he could make the play without getting in there. Either way it was like a minute before the third goals - maybe same shift.
