Watching the original Halloween now.  The ambience, music and 70's visual recording makes this the best IMO.

My son has watched A Nightmare Before Christmas every other day for the last two weeks.  I love the stop motion and Danny Elfman.

I've never been a horror fan.  I know they have such a huge following, but it has never done anything for me.  About the best I can come up with is the ones that take a comedy angle on the whole thing.  I don't even want to call them horror since they're probably more of an action-comedy... movies like Army of Darkness, Zombieland, and Shaun of the Dead.  You can sign me up all day for that style of movie.

And I've never really thought of it as a Halloween movie, but since it's been on tv constantly over the last few weeks, I'll mention Beetlejuice.
