Game Played in Honda Center, Anaheim CA

The Buffalo Sabres will try to complete a winning road trip while playing the Ducks of Anaheim. In what may have been their best played victory of the season against the Kings, who IMO have taken over the Sabres throne of being the slowest team in the league. The Ducks are coming off a 3-1 loss to Vegas last night so we'll see if they are primed to come back or tired wings are waiting to be buffaloed. The one observance from yesterday's GDT is we all are friendlier when we win. This may be tough if the Bills lose again in Indy this afternoon and the Sabres come out flat. No lineup changes foreseen but with Phil you never know although I'm expecting Hutton back in goal tonight. With a goal by Bogo and a hat trick by Skinner can we also get an unnamed bunker boy when he comes out to take a shower. My gawd man you been in there for like forever.

Remember the rules

  1. No acne jokes
  2. No telling Mr. Flagg to STF..... you know the rest
  3. Logo hate was grandfathered into the rules so that's ok
  4. Please look for previous made GDT's before posting yours
  5. LETS GO BUFFALO

2 questions: 1.  How'd you get a photo of Gretzky in a Ducks uni?  He never played for Anaheim.

2.  You sure we don't need 2 GDT's?  We had 2 yesterday & they worked like charms.  (Playing one of the slowest teams in the league had NOTHING to do w/ the victory. ;))

Man I felt terrible for stepping on Andrews GDT yesterday, I swear I looked, I never saw though. Maybe he can be 2nd today but I must say I'm 3-1 when I start one of these things up.

You're ONLY 3-1?!?!?!

Away with your threads!  We DEMAND perfection here. :p

Yeah but I’m now 1-0!

I caught a little more than a period of the Ducks - Vegas game last night. Anaheim couldn't carry Vegas's jock from what I saw.

Given how badly the Golden Knights manhandled the Sabres, it should be a good contest tonight.

So I'm on vacation about to head to the "Sandbar" down here at the beach for the Bills and whatnot. I doubt I'll remember one minute of this affair, if I make it that long.

I apologise for being an ***** ahead of time.

Anaheim has a good record but Gibson is carrying them.  He has stopped 2 goals more than expected (based on shot location).  Even if the stats aren't perfect, he has been absurdly good.  And we probably face Miller instead since they played late yesterday.  Opportunities.

Right now if the season ended he'd have the highest save percentage for a starter ever by a lot. He's on fire

I still can't get over the fact that the Ducks allowed 30 shots on goal to Dallas in the second period of their game a week ago or so. That is lunacy. The tank Sabres never did that.

I think we can help drag them back down where they belong. And finish the road trip on a high note. It would be great.

Go Sabres, you can do this!

He stopped 32 shots from the slot last night.  I can't wrap my head around that.

But we should get Miller tonight?

Expect a bad start from the Sabres tonight. They're probably feeling real good about their "effort" against a bad LA team last night.

And watch out for Max Comtois. He's sneaky good.

UNSUSTAINABLE.  Let's prove that tonight.

I have to wonder why Risto, who has a rich history of his play deteriorating due to fatigue from playing a stupid amount of minutes, got 26 last night when the game was completely in control and we had to play again the following day. If there was any time to scale up and get Bogosian and Dahlin more involved, spreading the minutes and reducing the wear and tear on our shutdown pair that's already in over their heads recently, it was when we were up by 4 goals.

My only guess is that Bogo and Dahlin aren't ready for that extra ice time and Housley wants them fresher for tonight?

Probably my biggest gripe about yesterday, besides that PK, Risto should of been played sparingly
