CallawaySabres Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 We usually see a couple of these each year and just have to hope that an offensive minded coach with a team not living up to expectations is fired. Who that coach may be is anyone's guess but in recent years, it happened in Boston, Montreal, Washington, etc.. Thoughts? Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 Boudreau and Quenneville could feasibly find themselves in trouble. I was reading Pens fans bitching about Sullivan recently, but I highly doubt anything happens there (tho JR has no issue firing big name guys) I don't think we're firing Phil though. Quote

Oh God, could you imagine getting ahold of Quenneville? I would need a $1000 gift card to the outlets for all the pants I'm about to ruin 2 Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 Still pissed the Sabres didn't pick up Spuddy Gallant when he was available. Housley is soft. 1 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 Housley isn’t soft his roster is. Quote

Swedesessed Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 I have been on the Fire Phil bandwagon since mid last year and see no reason to change my mind. Phil reminds me of Jauron. 1 Quote
Hawerchuk Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 Housley reminds me of Gretzky. Both great players but crappy coaches! If they don't turn this around soon, Phil better get fired! Bring in a vet coach Terry! Jesus H Christ!!!!!!! Quote
Mustache of God Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 Phil Housley is a turd polisher. Quote
7+6=13 Posted October 20, 2018 Report Posted October 20, 2018 I wouldn't mind seeing Housley gone. The roster is still incomplete but in 2 years we'll have the team we'll have. I don't see a satisfactory game plan from Housley that is clear the players aren't or aren't good enough to execute. Because of that - I don't want his system anymore. Quote

I hopped on that bandwagon behind you before Gallant had even paid for his coach ticket back home. Too bad Sabres management didn't get on board also. Of course, had Murray gotten with the program, we'd still have him as GM. So, maybe we need the NEXT good coach to be punted to come to Buffalo. ;) Quote
PerreaultForever Posted October 20, 2018 Report Posted October 20, 2018 I can't honestly think of one that's on the hotseat. Quenneville's the only maybe but I don't think he takes the heat for a depleted team there and he'd be more likely to retire (at least temporarily) before coming here. Quote
