matter2003 Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 (edited) Sabres have finally done it! Unsure how many games exactly it was but I believe it stretched back at least 4 seasons...it was a topic of conversation on Schopp and the Bulldog last year at some point since the Sabres have been so bad and particularly bad to start the seasons they never even got to 1-0 or 2-1... darksabre Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 The last time the Sabres were .500, in January of 2013, I was killing myself at the worst job I've ever had. It's been a while. 1 Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 Meh. Pretty sure the Washington Generals hold the record. Quote
WildCard Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 Let's build on this and really get a nice stretch going 1 Quote
nucci Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 Let's hope it's turned around now....shows how awful we've been for so long...really want to see playoff games in Buffalo again 1 Quote

I should have clarified the 4 major sport leagues in the US....the Generals are not an NBA team Edited October 8, 2018 by matter2003 Quote

To me to qualify as a sport there has to be some type of physical interaction with the opposing player or team. Golf has no such interaction...now if you had to stand on the green and dodge tee shots of your opponent then maybe... 1 Quote

Andrew Amerk Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 I’m with matter on this one. Golf isn’t a real sport. Just because it is “really really hard” or “takes skill” isn’t enough of a qualification. Building a space shuttle is really really hard. Getting over the loss of a loved one is really really hard. Neither qualifies as a sport. Quote

Radar Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 So unless one is at risk of physical confrontation or concussion it's not a sport. Ok, guess I see what your criteria is. Quote

Hoss Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 Can we change the thread title since it’s just an assumption without any research? Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 (edited) Sorry. My jokingly placed Globetrotters comment derailed the thread. Edited October 8, 2018 by Andrew Amerk Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 9, 2018 Report Posted October 9, 2018 I've been dating my girlfriend for five years. When this streak started, we had never spoken before. Quote
Jsixspd Posted October 9, 2018 Report Posted October 9, 2018 I haven't felt so many warm fuzzies about the Sabres in a LONG time - it's especially incredible after the gawd-awful season opener - I expected another season of 'suffering'. I don't know what lit the fire in this team between the 1st and 2nd game, but it was an amazing bounce-back! Quote
