That Aud Smell Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Nice. Let’s be better on Monday, yeah? Quote

Jsixspd Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 After 2 games, Carter Hutton looking like a solid goalie! Can't blame him for that Bealieu bungle. Quote

The shot block or whatever it was that made him take a maintenance day at the end of the preseason? Something's tweaked... he's not shown off either his burst nor his shot yet this season. 1 Quote

Scottysabres Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Good win, Hutton looks very good. GO SABRES!!! Quote
dejeanerret Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 (edited) Yeah it was the shot block. He stayed with it to get his first though. He'll be fine. First win! First time .500 or better in season since 3/27/17. Go Sabres! Edited October 7, 2018 by dejeanerret Quote

When the Ranger got to the dot, clearly in the lead, the linesman determined that the puck would cross the goal line, and it did. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Agreed that Eichel’s nicked up. Quote
hockeyhound Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Hutton is the Man, great game. Skinner and Sheary, sure glad they're on our team. Great job Sabres, we're 500! Quote
... Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 (edited) That was a good hockey game, totally worth the time. Thanks, Sabres. Edited October 7, 2018 by ... Quote
DarthEbriate Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Good game and good win against a team we have to beat. Now we'll see what we can do against Vegas. We just have to weather this first 10 games or so as our lines gel and we battle the long road. I remain hopeful, but it'll be tough. Quote
Brawndo Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Not only are the Sabres 500, but they are DeLuca 500 as well 2 Quote

Don't want people to be swinging sticks in the air by heads and such? 35 minutes ago, Jsixspd said: Agreed - don't want players swinging sticks like tennis rackets - would greatly increase risk of serious injuries. While I agree with all of you, players are doing it reactionally in these situations anyways. There was no intent to injure. The NFL has lightened their rules which have allowed more scoring (under the guise of player safety). The fans like scoring. if you have the skills to score a goal like Tage did, and were not out to take someone’s head off, maybe they should consider allowing those goals. Just throwing it out there. Cheektorado Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Now that game was worth the $1.95 for Center Ice. Quote

LGR4GM Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 Not good enough. Hutton bailed us out. Disappointed second effort. Cool they won but not good enough. 1 Quote
SwampD Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 I thought we looked better against Boston. Quote

Yeah, if it wasn't for Hutton, this is a 5-2 or 6-2 game. They still look the same they have for the past 3-5 years. Quote

Tonight they played with more urgency and grit than they did against Boston. And with regards Hutton, that's what a goalie is for. Some games the goalie wins. I don't see a problem with that happening in game 2 of the season. Quote

LGR4GM Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 I'm shocked that this team showed up yet again not ready to play. I'm souring on Housley quickly and on Eichel as captain. Be better. Quote
Stoner Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 6 minutes ago, Eleven said: Missed pass The "attainable pass" rule has been gone for awhile. In watching it again, though, now I'm confused. The linesman didn't blow the whistle when the Ranger got to the dot. He seemed to be hedging his bets until the puck was about to cross the line. Quote
