Boston looked like the hottest of hot garbage last night and it didn't matter the next day. I don't think this Sabres team is going to be especially good, and I shall continue to snark about culture, but it's still just 1 game. Quote

Nice hit by Risto with about 6 minutes left in the game; and the big hit by Sabotka behind the net in the last minute. Other than that, zero physicality in this game, very little "compete", no sense of desperation, and a lot more of the same . Not sure I'm paying $ for NHL Center Ice this year. Very boring team to watch. Booed and well deserved after 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods. Quote
hockeyhound Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 Embarrassing It took 3 periods to realize, "We need to work harder". Amazing. Quote

That doesn't mean it's a chicken little situation but, it's still frustrating optics. Chicken Little is buried under a bombed out basement RN. 1 Quote

Sometimes I wonder if I watch the same players that other people do. Especially when, after being the "negative guy" all offseason and last April, it's everyone else thrashing about angrily 1 Quote

SABRES 0311 Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 Hey guys nothing is gonna change the game or how the season will go. Turn to other games for entertainment. 1 Quote

Very boring team to watch. Booed and well deserved after 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods. Our family was 'cord cutters' for the past few years. Both my wife and myself work 50-60+ hours a week and don't watch TV much...we got most of our entertainment from Hulu and Netflix. This year, we decided to subscribe back to cable JUST so I could watch the Sabres games. I said I don't care if they miss the playoff, i just want to see some GOALS and some good chances everygame. I'm going to give them a few more games, but things don't look good right now as far as us keeping the cable package for long. 1 Quote

Ristolainen was the only player tonight that showed heart. Maybe they would play better if they cancelled more practices. God forbid Housley overworks these poor tortured souls. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 Jacky Boy sounding like Dick Jauron. Better trade him, he isn't the answer. Quote
Stoner Posted October 5, 2018 Report Posted October 5, 2018 (edited) Jack fingers the compete, then pretends he didn't say it when Adam Benigni asks the obvious followup. Always nice when the home organist plays "Closing Time" when the other team scores an empty netter. #shitshowfranchise Edited October 5, 2018 by PASabreFan Aw yeah momma's got a donkey 1 Quote

I mean, some people also said Eichel would be better in the NHL because he was a half inch taller and like 5 pounds heavier at draft time. Motivated reasoning is fun! 1 minute ago, Trettioåtta said: I thought he was our best D... at 18 years old Defence never look as flashy as forwards, so I don't think he will wow as often I expect him to be established as our best D and getting 1st unit PP time by the midpoint in the season.
