nfreeman Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 Random prediction: Marchand cheap-shots Dahlin and someone we wouldn’t normally think of for this comes flying in for immediate retribution. Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 First... holy s#!t can Dahlin skate. Second... come on Jack haha Quote

Dahlin, first shift, joining Gare, Mogilny and ..... Rob Ray! Historians, check my math. Me neither. I voted for Dahlin and expect him to join that triumvirate in a first shift of his career goal to send every Sabres fan into a frenzy! Quote

Agreed and that retribution will come from Tage Thompson in a big way. Quote

LGR4GM Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 If you are going to be a playoff team, these are the games you have to win. A team that got destroyed the night before, traveling, coming to your barn. There is no acceptable excuse for losing this game. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 Hell yeah. lines are fine for the start of the jack-skinner experiment. Though I'd switch Evan and vlad. No big deal though, and Evan might keep a typical Sabres 4th line that's worse than it should be afloat Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 Love to win and send Bruins to 0-2! Go Sabres!! Quote
shrader Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 Has there ever been a time in the history of the game of hockey where people have been happy with the line combinations? 1 Quote

Thorner Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) I have no idea what metrics they are using or how accurate they may be, but I still find the rankings on the lineup listings on this site fun to go through: https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/buffalo-sabres/line-combinations/ Edit: Nm, says they are from Corsica. That Aud Smell Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 I agree with the sentiment and philosophy that top talent should be paired on the forward lines -- not lumped into a trio. 1 Quote

It'll have to be someone we don't think of because no one in that lineup, sans Scandella and maybe Risto, scares anyone. Anyone else worried about our kids getting taken advantage of with no response? Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 Bill Hoppe @BillHoppeNHL 49s50 seconds ago Mor#Sabres newcomer Remi Elie is skating on D with Matt Tennyson, so those two are likely out tonight. Quote
shrader Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 How long have the seats been different colors like that? I haven't been in that building in ages so it's all new to me. It's a cool look, granted I don't hope to ever see it on tv. Quote

Ahhh crap, I had a feeling it could be something like that. The colors are so evenly spread and not a single shirt has fallen or shifted, so I was kind of hoping that was the seats themselves. I'd do that in a future building renovation. It's a cool look. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 Last season we scored the fewest goals of any team (198) and gave up the third most, so we had the worst goal differential (-80) of any team by far. Cut that goal differential in half or better and I'll consider the season to a success (gotta walk before you can run). A lot of new players in the lineup tonight so I'm interested to see how they all look. Go Sabres! Quote
