Thorner Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 I'm not that sold on Ullmark. Hutton was a huge and necessary add. 1 Quote

Pilut and Ullmark both just got undressed, and not by one of Pittsburgh's stars, either. Pilut did get beat, but allowed Ullmark to make the initial save. Borgen just watched the rebound sit there and get tapped in. Would have liked to not see Ullmark give up on it, too. Quote
dudacek Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Olofsson is nowhere near ready to play with the big boys on the small ice. Hope he figures out how to unleash that shot in Rochester. 1 Quote
Thorner Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Serious question: Is there a player more valuable to his team than Jack Eichel outside of Connor McDavid? Maybe even including Connor? I shudder to imagine our team without him. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 The announcers were talking about the strip club again that period. During play. Also, they said the Pens goal that was poked in was “a backhand with too much steam on it.” Ummm...what? Quote
... Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Not watching the game, but the NHL live game tracker gives me the impression Mitts is a face-off wizard. Discuss. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Pilut... The Sabres broadcasts pronounced it “pilot.” These guys are saying “pie-loot.” whats the deal? Quote

One of the things he’s got in his favour is he’s been very responsible with his positioning. So he’s not lost in the bottom six the way I assumed he would be a month ago; it’s not top six or bust. 1 Quote
Thorner Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 So a 2-4 mark thus far this preseason. But preseason W/L records can be meaningless. I'm just ready for the real games to start. One more of these things left. Quote

WildCard Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Is the last game a run through for the actual starters, or is it more everyone else who is on the bubble to make the team? Quote

I'm hoping that it's the last part, but I'm not sure that there's any consensus way to do the last preseason game, so we might not have any idea until Phil submits the lines Quote
Thorner Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Glaring positives in this game, in alphabetical order: Nylander, Alex ...that is all. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 (edited) Larsson injured. Is this a play to avoid getting left off the roster? Edited September 27, 2018 by Andrew Amerk Quote

LGR4GM Posted September 27, 2018 Author Report Posted September 27, 2018 Ok, let's make cuts now so we get a week of the real team playing together. We need to build chemistry. Quote

inkman Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 I wouldn't mind them as organizational depth Quote
North Buffalo Posted September 27, 2018 Report Posted September 27, 2018 Baptiste has done less than Bailey but Bailey still cant stay on his feet. Pilut has some learning... some good plays some wtf. Mitts, Tage and Nylander on a line seem to have some chemistry as well as some learning... they didnt all play together tonite. D was dreadful. Young guys gave Pens too much respect ie Olay hockey. Sobotka looks solid though. Passing was dreadful and Zemgus was Zemgus a wrecking ball with no finish. Quote
