He looks like a kid who had 30 in 34 in NCAA hockey one year after HS hockey, which was less than 2 years ago. People remember Pronman ranking him high and not the fact that when he played center for 1.5 periods in April the Sabres could not register a single shot attempt while his line was on the ice until he was moved back to wing. The offseason praise plus Botterill assuming he's ready to be a 2C as part of the justification for the ROR trade made everyone forget what Casey actually currently is I don't believe for a second Bots assumed that. He expects that from Berglund. Quote
MODO Hockey Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 Wow.. everything is a mess right now Quote

hockeyhound Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) Bailey looks like the only one that deserves a promotion and a spot on the 4th line. Edited September 26, 2018 by hockeyhound 1 Quote

MODO Hockey Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 Players that has been solid tonight can be counted on 1 hand.. sigh Quote

I know - Berglund is and should be viewed as a depth piece, though, and not a 2C. I agree that in general it's going to be a "by committee" job. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 CBJ's goaltender is better than ours. ? Quote

McCabe was good. Nelson played well, though those 2 gave up a bad breakaway. Bogosian looked good while he was playing. Others like Dahlin & Wedgewood had more good than bad. Rodrigues & Bailey were good except at the end of their shift on the 1st PK & the other PK. Thought Berglund looked good relative to expectations except on his 2nd penalty. Quote
Thorner Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 I didn't realize we'd be playing the greatest goalie in the world today.. Looks like Dahlin has been playing on the right side in the 3rd. Quote

Formerly Allan in MD Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 They looked like the Sabres: no depth, not much fire, can't win face-offs without O'Reilly, no forecheck ... Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 I'd expect up and down games from Dahlin Quote

We were the lowest scoring team in the league last year and we lost two of our top four scorers. Unless someone unexpectedly emerges, we'll be a one line team (Jack and company). There just isn't any evidence that this group of kids and journeymen will magically "turn the corner" and start beating teams with proven talent. Quote
Cityo'Rasmii Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) For the most part, when we did have a shot on goal, Korpisalo stood on his head. That penalty on Berglund was lame city. What I saw on was a clean shoulder check to clear the jacket about to enter the crease. What did you guys see? That penalty on Kyle was more lame city. He was playing the puck. What did you guys see? Edited September 26, 2018 by holzinger'sgone Quote
