tournament is moving to the Harborcenter starting with the 2018-19 season. A nice opportunity to watch some quality D1 hockey games.

I've been going to the games in Rochester last few years. Some solid hockey for really cheap. But if RIT didn't make it, the crowds were literally in the 100s.

Buffalo is also hosting the next frozen four.

Is the tournament a playoff for the conference? I know little about college hockey tournament/playoffs

Yes, it's their conference championship.  I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm assuming Harborcenter gets the semis and the final.  That's what they typically do for each conference... except for the head scratching final 5 they used to do in the WCHA.

The conference final 4. Semi-final and finals. Not one of the glamorous conferences, but good teams at tournament time is always worthy of your entertainment dollar. Wish I could be there.
