Onceagain Posted September 2, 2018 Report Posted September 2, 2018 Any nominations? My vote for Casey is Mitts, for he has some of the juciest paws out there Any ideas for Rasmus? Quote
stuuuuuuuuu Posted September 2, 2018 Report Posted September 2, 2018 (edited) Rasmus Dahlin: the first of his name, the true heir of lidstrom, mover of pucks, the prince who was promised Edited September 2, 2018 by Stu 2 Quote

JJFIVEOH Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 I like Casey Mittelstadt and Rasmus Dahlin. 4 Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 I think Mitts will stick, but I don't think Dahlin will have a nickname. And we aren't going to call him Rasmus, either, because that's confusing. He's just going to be Dahlin. Quote
North Buffalo Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 Mitts and Fish sounds about right... Quote
pi2000 Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 If I were a teammate I'd call them Mittsy and Dahly. Quote
French Collection Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 Mitts I love a lot. D is my suggestion because he will be the man at that position for a long time. Quote

Stoner Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 I've tried to come up with many of these over the years, but I've come to believe it's silly and pointless. Player nicknames are given by teammates, maybe coaches. It'll be Mittsy or Dahlsy and that's that. You can't have 40 names floating around out there. Quote

I tend to think that the most subtle joke in the movie "Goon" is that they referred to the naive character John Stevenson as "Stevesie." Like they know that's the formula for 99.5% of hockey nicknames and went with it rather than the more real-world likely "Stevie." Edited September 3, 2018 by Eleven 1 Quote

Yeah its one of the things I don't like at hockey interview, how players call their teammates. Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 Dahlin can be shortened to Dahl which equals Doll, which is short for Dollar. Dollar = money. Mittelstud and Money. Quote
