GrassValleyGreg Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Fantastic shift from Nylander Quote
dudacek Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Surprised the Devils aren’t jumping Powell after that one. Quote
Taro T Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 (edited) BIIIIG hit from Powell. And that's the proof that it shouldn't have been a penalty. Great work by Thompson. Edited September 8, 2018 by Taro T Quote
Thorner Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Wait, guys in Sabres jerseys can score on breakaways? Quote
dudacek Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Two shorties. impeccable hands on each. From snipers killing penalties. Quote
Thorner Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Just an easy 3 points from Dahlin in his first game in a Sabres jersey.. Quote
dudacek Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 (edited) Tage looks like a pro. Exceeding my expectations for him. Edited September 8, 2018 by dudacek Quote
Taro T Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Only started watching 1/2 way through the 2nd. (Right before the Sabres 2 quick ones.) Obviously Dahlin's play was the most impressive. But Nylander FINALLY not looking skinny (yeah, it's in comparison to kids, but still) gives a modicum of hope for him. Quote
Mustache of God Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Tage Thompson looks like a animal right now. Player of the game (besides Dahlin). He's above this level of play. Quote
Winston Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 I want Dahlin out there for the EN hat trick. It’s what the fans want!!! Quote
Mustache of God Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Where was Casey tonight? Quote
Thorner Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Dahlin: "It's fun when it goes my way." Quote
dudacek Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Dahlin, Thompson, Asplund, Nylander and Borgen sure got their September’s off on the right foot tonight. That was a heckuvalot of fun. 1 Quote

Randall Flagg Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Asplund is 20 years old. He's going to be the best third liner this team has had in a long time. He's such a good hockey player. 1 Quote

Randall Flagg Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 I remember McCleod and Quenneville both looking better than any Sabres prospect at this thing last year. They looked like they wouldn't have made our team this year. Quote

But during the past five or six years, we certainly haven’t said it very often. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 I saw high-end quality for the Sabres. Hells yeah. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 One minor complaint is that my immediate worries about the 2C spot are probably not going to go away anytime soon. Quote
thewookie1 Posted September 8, 2018 Report Posted September 8, 2018 Mittlestadt was quiet but still played a solid game overall. Plus that back check in the 3rd was a beautiful thing to see. 1 Quote
