Only started watching 1/2 way through the 2nd.  (Right before the Sabres 2 quick ones.)

Obviously Dahlin's play was the most impressive.  But Nylander FINALLY not looking skinny (yeah, it's in comparison to kids, but still) gives a modicum of hope for him.

Dahlin, Thompson, Asplund, Nylander and Borgen sure got their September’s off on the right foot tonight.

That was a heckuvalot of fun.

Asplund is 20 years old.

He's going to be the best third liner this team has had in a long time. He's such a good hockey player.

As he was setting up for the draw in our zone against the extra attacker late, I was thinking about how many times We are going to see that over the next 10 years.

I remember McCleod and Quenneville both looking better than any Sabres prospect at this thing last year. They looked like they wouldn't have made our team this year.

We were clearly the more talented team.

Maybe we were saying it during the prospects tourney three years ago; I don’t remember.

But during the past five or six years, we certainly haven’t said it very often.

One minor complaint is that my immediate worries about the 2C spot are probably not going to go away anytime soon.

But Nylander looked a helluva lot better than you hoped ?
