IKnowPhysics Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 I looked it up after giving it sincere thought; my guess was wrong. In the entire thread so far, only one of the three Sabrepedes has been guessed correctly. Not helpful clue: it was Tyler Ennis that was hung out to dry being forced to cover three open opponents, two of which were at the crease, the third of which was at the high slot. Quote
WildCard Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 I can see the first guy's number real easily in the picture, but the other two I have no idea about Quote

DarthEbriate Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 Thornton. Myers. 26 -- I thought Vanek, but then that's got to be the Force: Matty Moulson! 20? Niedermayer? Nooo. D'Agostini? Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 Not so helpful clue: he was twice the man he was the first time. Quote
erickompositör72 Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 People always knock Rolston's system, but it was unique. They should have given it a chance. I heard they were working on the "flying V" in practice, too Quote

Huckleberry Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 (edited) Well if 57 is on the ice isn't Tallinder somewhere in it ? Myers, tallinder vanek would be my guess. Edited August 16, 2018 by Huckleberry Quote
erickompositör72 Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 I just rewatched the highlights so I cheated, I won't answer 7 minutes ago, Huckleberry said: Well if 57 is on the ice isn't Tallinder somewhere in it ? Huckleberry Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 (edited) Tallinder , Moulson, Myers then edit: forgot we traded Vanek quite fast for Moulson but they both wore 26 right ? Edited August 16, 2018 by Huckleberry Quote
erickompositör72 Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 It's hard to believe we could downgrade from Vanek on a defensive-awareness standpoint, but we certainly did with Moulson I remember watching a Sabres preview out-of-market. They showed a clip of Moulson playing defense. He was falling down trying to change direction covering a pass from the point to the boards. The commentary was something like "having defensive responsibilities like that- this is anti-Matt Moulson..." Quote
LGR4GM Posted August 16, 2018 Author Report Posted August 16, 2018 (edited) So it was tallinder, moulson, myers? Hard to believe Moulson has been a Sabre that long... Edited August 16, 2018 by LGR4GM Quote
darksabre Posted August 16, 2018 Report Posted August 16, 2018 I had completely forgotten about the return of Tallinder. Quote
