From Russia With Love is my favourite movie. I basically like them all.

Sean Connery is the best. Daniel Craig is a close second.

Hale Berry used the Ursulla Andress approach but just blew my mind.

Blofeld is a great villain, Mike Myers did a great job, lol.

I liked Oddjob's bowler hat, a simple but deadly gadget.

Pu$$y Galore was an edgy name.

I like Adele on Skyfall as my musical choice.

Why is Never Say Never Again not considered a Bond film? Just wondering.

It is a Bond film, but it wasn't made by Eon Productions.  It was essentially a remake of Thunderball starring Connery and Kim Basinger as Domino.  One of the writers of Thunderball won the rights to the Novel in court and remade the movie.

The car jump from Man with the Golden Gun.

THAT's the best stunt hands down.  The fact it was designed & 1st performed/perfected across the street from the Buffalo Airport makes it all the cooler.

Soooooo ticked that I forgot about that one last night.

I found an article in the telegraph UK that named the ski cliff jump and the cork screw car two of the top stunts.

The others were interesting.

The croc bridge in Live and Let Die.  The stunt had real crocs and it only worked on the 5th take.

The Crane to Crane jump in Casino Royale. It was the only part of that sequence that Craig didn’t perform.

The Dam Bungee jump in GoldenEye. It was the world record for highest fixed structure bungee jump at 720 ft.

Hey @Eleven, this one's for you!

Wait, they named the villain (Mr. Big's last name is Kananga) after the real-life pond owner/ stuntman?  That is one awesome piece of trivia, if so!

I'm going to choose to believe it and will spout it at bars.

Holy cow, he was 28 in that scene! I'd have guessed 48. Man, the 70's were rough on people.

Every actor in a 70s movie is somewhere between 25 and 90, and greasy/hairy.  I think it started in the late 60s with Midnight Cowboy.  Dustin Hoffman looked 56 in that.  Or check out DeNiro in Taxi Driver.

1) What is your favorite Bond movie?  Tied between Skyfall, Dr. No, and Goldfinger.  All three excellent for very different reasons.  Also shout out to Moonraker, which is grossly underrated.

2) What is the best Bond movie? Many say From Russia with Love.  I say Dr. No.

3) Who is/was the best James Bond?  I used to say Roger Moore, as that's who I grew up with, but the movies and campy humor just don't hold up as much now.  Connery is timeless.  Worst: Lazenby by a mile.

4) Who is/was the best villan?  Modern Blofeld is the most menacing because he's the best written.  I also adored Christopher Walken as Max Zorn, Scaramunga, and Jaws.  Old school Blofeld was hilarious due to the intentional similarities to Howard Hughes.

5) Who is the hottest co-star?  Ursula Andress, Barbara Bach, and Jill St. John.  Shout out to Grace Jones who continues to be a pioneer in the modeling and ***** communities.

6) What was the best stunt in a Bond film?  The car jumping the corkscrew bridge in Man with the Golden Gun.

7) What is the best gadget in a Bond film?  Gun and a radio.  Worst: the invisible car in Die Another Day.  Most hilarious: the jet pack and the Moonraker laser.

Edit:

8.) Best song - it does not have to be the theme song.  Tied: Know My Name by Chris Cornell and License to Kill by Gladys Knight.

9) Best character name other then Octopussy.  ***** Galore (Goldfinger) and Holly Goodhead (Moonraker).

10) Worst Bond Film? On Her Majesty's Secret Service, not close.

Boo, that's one of my favorites. George Lazenby is the man.

Like most Bond films, it's too long, but I think it is actually underrated. Diana Rigg was terrific. The ending was sixties cool tragic. Lazenby, alas, was really a miss, but not as bad as folks say.

As someone who has seen the movies but never really been engrossed in the franchise.

Is there a particular order to watch the movies in, or is it just by order of release date?

In my opinion start with Sean Connery movies … going in order isn’t a bad idea but is not necessary.   Everyone has a different opinion on what to skip, what to include, what is good, what is bad… It really is up to you to decide that. So as much as you would like to… I wouldn’t listen to anybody’s opinion on what is good or bad… Watch them and decide for yourself if you were entertained.
Just my thoughts…

If you've seen the recent ones, you'll probably find that the earlier ones develop more slowly.  If you've seen the older ones, you'll probably find that the newer ones lack depth and intrigue.

Sean Connery - Goldfinger and From Russia with Love are the best two, but I’d watch the first 4 in order

Roger Moore - Live and Let Die is the best, but The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only are worth watching

Timothy Dalton - License to Kill

Pierce Brosnan - GoldenEye is his best, but I also like Tomorrow Never Dies

Daniel Craig - Casino Royale.  I also like Skyfall and Spectre.

Wouldn't say there's a particular order to watch, but of the Connery's would start with From Russia w/ Love, Goldfinger, or Dr. No.

Would go with Live & Let Die, the Spy Who Loved Me, or the Man w/ the Golden Gun for Moore.

Would go w/ License to Kill for Dalton.

Golden Eye is the one for Brosnan.

Casino Royale or Skyfall for Craig.

(Yeah, realize there was 1 more official Bond.  Silence speaks volumes. 😉 )

Have seen the whole series multiple times (minus the new one) including Never Say Never Again which isn't part of the series and had Connery remaking Thunderball. (The original was way better.)  Have only seen parts of the original Casino Royale as that's not in our collection, wasn't a "true" Bond film, and rarely is on the tube.  Neither Broccoli nor his daughter had any part in producing it.

There's only a handful of dogs in the entire franchise.  (Though personally would unfortunately include No Time to Die in that group.  Very disappointing movie IMHO.)

I haven't seen too many Bond films, but I'm just popping in to say Connery is the best suave Bond, Craig is the best action Bond.

But Connery's turn and shoot down the barrel was comically bad.  He's waaaaaay better in the rest of the movie.  😉

1, 2. Favourite movie: On Her Majesty's Secret Service.  Best book.  Best movie.

3. Favoirite Bond: Big Connery fan here.  I liked Dalton a lot too as he was the most like my image of Bond from the Fleming books.  (I did read all of them.)

4. Best villain: I like the modern Blofeld the best.  Lots of good ones to choose, though.

8. Best song: theme to On Her Majesty's Secret Service.  Note how much its music is used in No Time to Die.  Aside: I liked how the Garden of Death from the book You Only Live Twice was used in No Time to Die.

9. Best character name: I liked that Random Task is an odd job.

10. Worst Movie: a few in the running.  Probably Moonraker.  Maybe Tomorrow Never Dies.  The 1967 version of Casino Royale is in the running, no matter how good Burt Bacharach's music is.

Don't blame Connery for that. It's his stuntman, Bob Simmons for the first 3 movies. Connery didn't film the shot until Thunderball.

They used his stunt double for that?  Wtf?!?

And, it's not like the next 3 attempts were any better.  😄
