Corp000085 Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 how do the lines look this morning? are they to the point of the 1999 ticket lottery system yet? Talk about a good business model for golisano and the sabres... win games and you can sell a $hit load of playoff tickets.

Corp000085 Posted April 10, 2006 Author Report Posted April 10, 2006 Playoffs sell anyway... NOt just when u win a $hitload of games. I know. its great. But you have to make the playoffs to sell tickets. Something this team hasn't done in 5 years.

Corp000085 Posted April 10, 2006 Author Report Posted April 10, 2006 Just go online tons of Amazing seats still available in 108 - 102 unfortunately, i will not be able to attend any home playoff games this year, unless my family pays for me to fly up for the game and back here so i can work. I will be able to, and hope to attend a potential carolina/sabres series at the RBC center in raleigh.
Saber61 Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 I need to get mine today but i fear they may all be bought up already... all the good ones anyway.... but maybe when i get home from school ill see if anything is still availible

On a side not, how come it seems like we have not sold out a home game in a while? Except for the Leafs game a few weeks ago, it seems like most games have fallen 2 or 3 thousand short...
topshelfcookies Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 The Philly game was a Gold level pricing game, and other than the Gold Toronto games, I don't believe the club has sold out any of the other Gold games. Of course, the Gold level pricing is in effect for the playoffs, but I doubt that matters much. The games will all be sold out.
elcrusho Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 I got my Tickets for Game 1!!! 116 Row Deuce Woot!
LabattBlue Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 On my way to work, I took a ride by the arena at about 8:50 this morning. There were maybe 50-100 people in line. So much for playoff fever. :(

topshelfcookies Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 Remember too...internet ticketing is a much more viable option now in 2006 than it was in 1999. These past 7 years, so many more people not only have access to the internet at home, but also feel comfortable with purchasing tickets online. I remember getting down the MMA back in '98 rediculously early in the morning to get tickets. Today, I rolled out of bed at 8:45, and picked up some tickets online about 9:15am.

Today, I rolled out of bed at 8:45, and picked up some tickets online about 9:15am. i just posted that same thing on another thread - the internet definitely makes it easier, but there was something to waiting in those lines! I got to the Olean Tops about an hour or two after the Sabres/Leafs game ended. We cooked out in the parking lot, did some tailgating and I think we even played street hockey in the parking lot around 5am under the lights! People that came as part of their morning routing looked at the line of us like we were aliens!
haseoke Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 yeah, the depersonalization of the internet age. goddamn this postmodern technological world. we have lost the camaraderie of playoff ticket lines!

I will be able to, and hope to attend a potential carolina/sabres series at the RBC center in raleigh. My only chance of going to a game is if they make it to the finals and play Colorado. Yes, someone living in Boston can only go to a Sabres playoff game in Denver. I've got a friend out there with season tickets and a ticket is guaranteed if this series somehow happens. This needs to happen.
