Radar Posted July 1, 2018 Report Posted July 1, 2018 Isn't he from Toronto? In any case Toronto is a popular place as a hockey player I would presume. Quote
Ho-Chi-Sock Posted July 1, 2018 Report Posted July 1, 2018 Sabres app just reported that Wilson has been resigned for 2 yrs. Quote
will Posted July 1, 2018 Report Posted July 1, 2018 Weird. Lou leaves a team he helped build to keep a guy like JT on the new team, only to lose said franchise center to the team he just left. Quote

Carmel Corn Posted July 1, 2018 Report Posted July 1, 2018 They are going to hate this move in three years...what young player are they going to have to move down the road because they can't afford everyone Perhaps, but then again they don't have to worry about a JVR contract. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted July 1, 2018 Report Posted July 1, 2018 Remember that time Toronto played defense? This is what we're going to say to make ourselves feel better. But honestly, Pittsburgh just won two Cups without much in the way of defense. Meanwhile, Nashville and their blue line keep falling short. When you have Tavares, Matthews, Marner, and Nylander up front, your D can be spotty. Quote
will Posted July 1, 2018 Report Posted July 1, 2018 Was Lou fired, or did he not renew his contract? "Bumped" from GM to special advisor by azzhat shanahan, then hired away by the isles. Quote
pi2000 Posted July 1, 2018 Report Posted July 1, 2018 Matthews replacement... it's happening folks. Quote

I question whether they have enough physical presence to get far in the playoffs. They need more toughness and/or their stars to play with an edge. Quote

Don’t forget Kadri and they have a good d in Reilly and Liljegren and and Sandin will be serviceable. The Atlantic now goes through TO, no doubt. Quote
