MAC’S BACK!

We have signed Ryan McDonagh to a seven-year contract extension worth $6.75 million (AAV) per season. The extension will commence with the 2019-20 season.

Seven years...He is 30?

@DallasStars

Welcome back, Val!

The Stars have signed right wing Valeri Nichushkin to a two-year contract with an AAV of $2.95-million per year.

Wow, didn't see that coming

There's a lot of dumb signings happening in this league

I'm glad we don't have to reach and sign some older vet to a long term deal. So much hinges on where a team is in relation to making a run, age of players and how much of a chance a team is willing to take on a vet who might not be playing in a few years.

Chad Johnson signed before Lehner signs. Man, that guys rep has to be bad.

I'm gonna die when Lehner and O'Reilly both end up on the Islanders and everyone is just miserable.

Since Tavares is not returning, who do the Isles offer in return for O'Reilly?

Wish JT would just make his decision. It feels like everything with O'Reilly hinges on that.

Yeep.  Teams won't go all in on ROR till they know they're out of the JT sweepstakes.

I think the Isles would be best off entering a rebuild. But that's probably not the kind of thing you do when you hire Lamoreillo and Trotz.
