Corp000085 Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 You know, isn't it nice to not have to memorize the schedules of teams #7-10 in the standings? Hell, i don't even know who's the #6-8 seed. Sure, the sabres have had some bad luck this past month, but you're kidding yourself and all of us if you thought the Sabres would at least have the #5 seed locked up and have an eye on the division title 1 week before the end of the season. Not in my wildest dreams folks... Evidence: - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26 Follow the AHL and try to enjoy it, remembering that it only bodes optimism when you see future Sabres like Roy, Vanek and Miller excelling and growing in maturity and experience. There are holes on the Sabres' roster that we all lament and are aware of - these up and coming talents will surely improve the roster whenever the NHL gets its act together and resumes play. - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=80 nah... keep the game in buffalo. The bills game will be (or already is) a sellout. Everyone else can go to the sabres game. If the sabres show up in october and november (or they don't, and the bills stink--highly unlikely), that game will be a sellout, or close to it. Yeah, it sucks that we were screwed by the schedule makers, but its not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. (that one was mine... haha) - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.p...1&st=&p=entry I am amazed how quickly they would pay Connolly over $1 million to do what? - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101 The Buffalo Sabres are nothing but a tax write-off! Face the music..... Satan will be missed..... Darcy is a moron and a retard..... "We are looking to keep a payroll of 28 million" HAHAHAHAHAH This team will have the trade value of a half pack of gum! Another long season of hockey to go along with JP and the Bills.... Tic Tac anyone???? - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=142 Now, we are a lock for the cup, baby. Cup Crazy 2006 They don't call Regier the "Iron Man" ('79-'80) for nothing, with heavy boots of lead, and thoughts of vengance running through his head. commentary--That website is porn 'stache heaven - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.p...1&st=&p=entry Same old crap from Regier! If you keep thinking and operating like a weak sister, don't expect to be a contender Darcy! I'm sick of this. You want fans in the stands, but you aren't creating any excitement by signing anyone of note. I guess it's business as usual - try to be competitive and maybe make the playoffs. Whoopee! Forget about the Stanley Cup. - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.p...1&st=&p=entry QUOTE (gregkash @ Aug 10 2005, 02:25 PM)honestly looking at the depth chart, it's not BAD Not bad at all. I say it's good enough for 9th or 10th place in the East. With the Pens leap frogging the Sabres it might be 11th. - http://www.sabresreport.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=273 It probably has something to do with the fact that the team got weaker in the offseason and stunk last season. Why would anyone pick this team to make the playoffs? I surely wouldn't. The question I have is whether they get the take on the lunch bucket attitude they had right before Satan was brought in. If they do, I think they will at least entertaining and probably pretty competitive. - - - well, my wife made brownies, so i have to stop there. I went from pages 24 to 18 in the archives in reverse order. We were really stupid back then. It taught me a few things 1) Predicting the sabres would have 100+ points would have gotten me banned and kicked of the mod team had i said that in august. 2) None of us can predict the future. This is sports where hard work, heart, team first attitude, and coaching trump talent 9 out of 10 times. 3) I don't feel all that bad about the 2006 Buffalo Bills anymore. 4) Reading that crap really puts the past month in perspective. 5) GO SABRES now, someone else continue where i left off. this is fun
Stoner Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 What division title are they eyeing? :) I don't think it's time to make anyone eat crow, Corp. You risk sounding like Lorentz when, a few games into Miller's slump, he admonished some critical fans to "give him a break!" That was about a month ago.
Corp000085 Posted April 10, 2006 Author Report Posted April 10, 2006 My intention was not to make anyone eat crow... My intention was to simply show that there wasn't a soul who could have predicted the success this season.
