Ovie's still got the hands, the timing and the killer shot.  But he doesn't have the speed or the endurance that he had a few years ago.

Remember all the Puritan finger wags when Pat Kane was drunk at his parade?

 

 

FTR, this is how I want my hockey stars to celebrate.

My recollection is that parade was just after the cab driver invident and drunken Kane made light of it at the parade, so IMO the finget wagging was about alot more than partying with the cup.

 

Ovie’s having a blast and noone is getting assaulted, so no finger wags.

The thing with Kane is he's sloppy. Ovi appears to be a professional.

That's my take as well.

 

In his drunken stupor videos, Kane reminded me of every South Buffalo idiot I've ever had to deal with at a bar (and there've been a few over the years).

 

Ovechkin has been recorded as being *hammered*, sure -- but his vibe is so much happier.
