The millennial white knights are riding in, seeing sexism everywhere. I could have gone with Terry, but he's not the CEO.

Back on topic, I thought the CEO's comments were great. Everyone wants accountability, but without anyone's feelings getting hurt.

While the implications of "what if it were the Sabres CEO that said this" are fun to explore, I would like your view on Seguin as a possibility from Botterill's standpoint.

9.5 mil, 8 yrs, is a slight less than the Toronto Tavares signing, and with Jack at 10 mil, I see a comparison there for a 1-2 center punch at a reduced cost given I project Mathews at 11 to 12.5 range on his next contract. It may be anywhere from 2.5 to 4 million in available cap.

If I'm Botterill, I'm on the phone. Your thoughts?

I don't know enough about Seguin the hockey player. If the off-ice stories are true, how does he possibly fit in Botterill's concept (and ownership's) of the team?

Lol someone got triggered.

Nothing like an entitled baby boomer whining about something a millennial said. #snowflake

Actually I missed out on being a boomer, which I'm happy about. I don't know how they determined the cutoff, but it was perfect IMO. Most of my friends also have siblings 5-10 years older than them, and there's a big difference in even half a generation. Boomer to me is almost an insult. But I'm too old to be Gen X. As a sidenote, a lot of people think generations aren't really a thing, merely a way to market to groups of people.

Outside of the Boston affair I hadn't seen an event since his time in Dallas being sounded. What I have seen is him being somewhat consistently in the top group of the leagues scorers.

We are the 'sexy tweeners'.  Yup.

And I agree all this nonsense was designed to market junk.  '... but it did not affect (the steady sale of junk) ...'  ? (I know some of you will get it).

This just in from Kim Pegula: "Jack and those guys need other guys to put more of those black thingies in the basket. We need to score more points! Losing one to three is not good."

Our next NHL Commisioner ?

In the loaded 2015 draft, Dallas got no one of importance despite drafting 12th and 49th overall.

Nichushkin at 10th overall in 2013 isn't really working out, either.  0G 5A so far this season.

Who was it on here that wanted him so badly?

Dunno, but I'm pretty happy with the Sabres' pick.  Domi over Zadorov might have been nice, though.

Dallas drafting like total trash for 6 years is the reason they suck. Owner should probably be looking at themselves before trying to make Benn and Seguin scapegoats.

As Bill James said, the one common thing that all bad teams do is blame their best players for all of their problems. Amazing how true it is.

Petrovic didn't play like the big dude he was meant to be. If a team was looking for a Panther (current or past) I'd go with Gudbranson in a heartbeat over Petrovic.

I know Tallon tried to get Gudbranson back after the "GM by committee" experiment failed miserably.

LOL, you think KO plus 3 1sts, not St. Louis pic for McDavid might get them interested?

Could you imagine Jack and Connor on the same team... wouldn't need to take viagra...
