bcsaberks Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 What was that announcement all about? Missed it. Nice to see some Amerks on the score sheet. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 This one is ugly, officiating is not wonderful either, but WPG may steam roll Vegas Quote
darksabre Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Winnipeg is hitting Vegas. About time someone did. Quote
Sabre1974 Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Winnipeg is hitting Vegas. About time someone did. If jets can sustain that style of play over the series then they are headed to the finals i reckon Quote
Rasmus_ Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Vegas, baby! And if that can't happen then I'm rooting for Ovi. Meh, here's hoping they lose the next 4 straight. The Capitals are one of the most top heavy teams in the league. If Tampa Bay cannot defeat them than it is an injustice. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted May 14, 2018 Report Posted May 14, 2018 Pretty surprised that the Caps are handling Tampa Quote
SwampD Posted May 14, 2018 Report Posted May 14, 2018 (edited) Pretty surprised that the Caps are handling TampaCaps/Jets is shaping up to be a wonderfully brutal final. Edited May 14, 2018 by SwampD Quote
Huckleberry Posted May 14, 2018 Report Posted May 14, 2018 I hope Ovechkin wins one this year. But jets winning I don't mind either. Quote
SwampD Posted May 14, 2018 Report Posted May 14, 2018 There is just not enough to say to justify an hour long pregame show. Quote
Guest Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Didn't realize the Pegs barn only holds 15,300. I can put more bodies in my shed out back. Quote
ubkev Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 "...back to Tyler Myers, who fires wide! ...he did that on purpose, by the way." Doesn't he always? Quote
Sabel79 Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 What I’m the world is Tyler Myers doing there and why is it not a penalty? Dude checked a guy in the face with his fist... Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Well Myers did make that one lumbering rush, but I'm glad Vegas won Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 I was a big Myers fan in his first season but let’s face it the guy is soft and for a guy of his skating and size he should have put on some muscle and be a force. Again you can all thank Florida for giving us two great players. Quote

LGR4GM Posted May 15, 2018 Author Report Posted May 15, 2018 I believe we are rapidly approaching the "sports bubble". At some point the cost of attending will be too high for the average person and they will go elsewhere. The average person's salary has barely kept up with inflation and in some cases has not. That is less disposable income for sporting events which are now highly priced. At some point paying X for a ticket just becomes too much. Quote

I agree that something is likely to give in the coming years. Remember that Delaware North funded "think" project from a few years ago? Among other things, it envisioned fans' participating in spectator sports in virtual ways, etc. Quote

Housing, food, water... Actually food is cheap (in the US). Housing is not. I read an interesting article about how you actually might not want Amazon in your city because they bring in those 20k high paying jobs and it screws the other 100k working people because they have huge competition for housing. As with most things, location, location, location. Housing where I'm from is quite cheap, as is housing where I live now. Neither of witch are considered desirable places to live for most people. Don't worry, someone will figure out a way to let people finance season tickets for 96 months at 0%. Quote
