Randall Flagg Posted June 24, 2018 Report Posted June 24, 2018 Bring me all of the disappointments! May the least disappointing emerge victorious! :P We're going to fret until by Christmas Linus has objectively stolen the spot for the next 10 years, just like Miller did in 05/06. Yeah, I'm flying high on Dahlin weekend. Quote

dudacek Posted June 24, 2018 Report Posted June 24, 2018 Can’t wait until the Blues and the Habs make their moves and we can put the spectre of an O’Reilly trade to rest. Quote

Supposing that this has been true all along. That Botterill was 65-35 towards keeping ROR, based on him believing people wouldn't end up giving up what he wanted. He has still said that there will be big changes, and so have people with "ties in the organization" here and elsewhere. We can still have some fun and keep a top 2 player on the team. Quote
dudacek Posted June 24, 2018 Report Posted June 24, 2018 (edited) Varlamov, Rinne, Howard, Neuvirth, Pickard all UFAs next summer. Allen, Schneider, Griess, Darling, mArkstrom, Anderson, potentially available because they are due to be replaced. Any interest in moving a pick or prospect for any of them? Oh you know we’re bringing in a goalie and pretty significant left wing. We have cap space. Edited June 24, 2018 by dudacek Quote

And yes please to a top 6 left wing. Quote

I’d happily do the Kane pick for Skinner type trade and a couple more Beaulieu type deals that hopefully work out better than that one. There aren’t many teams with a better under 25 group than us. Let’s give them some people to play with. Quote
dudacek Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 James Neal has rejected a five-year, $5 million deal from Vegas and will be shopping around. Interested in beating it? Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 How about Perron? If the term is short, sure. But I have no interest in signing 30+ good-but-not-great wingers to long term contracts. Quote
dudacek Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) Top goal-scoring UFA LWs Van Reimsdyk, Neal, Vanek, Nash, Perron, Maroon RFAs Zucker, Miles Wood, Vesey, Baerstchi, Nieto, Duclair. Edited June 25, 2018 by dudacek Quote

dudacek Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) I have a feeling the stupid market is going to dry up for all but a few players. I’d give Neal 3 years at $7 million. Same for Van Reimsdyk or Pacioretty. Not a huge fan of any of them, but they score goals and Jack deserves a winger. Skinner probably makes more sense, I just despise him. Cash isn’t the issue, term is. We’ve got the cap room and don’t have to worry about space for three years. Edited June 25, 2018 by dudacek Quote

Right, but these guys are all going to be looking for term unless they're ring-chasing, a requirement that we obviously don't meet. Think we can pry Zucker from Minny with the Kane 1st as the main piece? I'd say close to zero. Quote
dudacek Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 I missed Grabner. Limited, but he’s fast and can score. What’s the price there? Quote

dudacek Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 Riley Nash is going to get some cash, and is a guy I’m willing to spend on. Derek Ryan, Jay Beagle - one of them becomes a necessity if we trade O’Reilly. Quote
