Taro T Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 What does that mean? Pretty sure Ristolainen is the "silky Swede top 10 pick" & pick 32 is the "really high 2nd rounder" that he thinks Marbles for HockeyBrains (aka Mr. New Canes Owner) would consider equivalent value for Pesce and Slavin. ;) Quote
LGR4GM Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 (edited) Ooooooo. Well Ristolainen is Finnish so... Also be put a comma after Swede so I assumed that top 10 pick was referral to #1 overall. Edited May 15, 2018 by Skurk Liger Quote

LGR4GM Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Or Nylander.Oooo that's it! Ok, I'm with him now. Is it bad that Nylander is basically a non entity to me at this stage? Quote
Brawndo Posted May 15, 2018 Author Report Posted May 15, 2018 I’m in the minority here, but I do not want to trade the 32nd Pick. Quote

thewookie1 Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Unless we trade 32 for a young NHL player, I'm not trading it. I wonder if they'd be interested in Nylander for Skinner in some manner. Quote

sweetlou Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Would Carolina go for a Bogo and Nylander trade for Victor Rask?? They are getting the #2 pick in the draft. Rask would slot nicely in as Sabres 3rd line center. Quote
Taro T Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Or Nylander.   (Silly me, thought he was proposing a 'reasonable' ridiculous offer for them; not one approaching ludicrous speed.) Quote
sweetlou Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 ROR, Bogo, Nylander to Edmonton for Nugent-Hopkins and Klefbom?? Quote
Randall Flagg Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Or Nylander. Ding ding ding! The idea was, here's this shiny asset (that actually stinks, but you don't know that, new guy) please give me the good defensemen on your team that you hopefully haven't seen too much tape of and are assuming are some part of a "losing culture" or something. Marions Piazza Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 I've always wondered why people post his garbage all while admitting it is garbage. Why are you giving him the clicks? Didnt give him clicks, I like the Sabres writer Michael Pachla on Hockeybuzz, one of the best on the site, Ek's headline was that, didn't read or click on his article, and thanks for judging ROR, Bogo, Nylander to Edmonton for Nugent-Hopkins and Klefbom?? Bogo has no value, horrid contract and always hurt. Nylander doesn't have much value right now either, but, some GM might think he just needs a change of scenery. Quote
LGR4GM Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 ROR, Bogo, Nylander to Edmonton for Nugent-Hopkins and Klefbom??Hell no. Would Carolina go for a Bogo and Nylander trade for Victor Rask?? Out of everything we need 3rd line center is probably the only thing we don't. Quote
Crusader1969 Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Odds are high the #Oilers deal their 10th overall draft pick this June because whatever teenage defenceman is available at that spot is probably 2-3 years away from playing in the #NHL http://edmontonjournal.com/sports/hockey/nhl/edmonton-oilers/edmonton-o If this is true, any interest in dealing a LHD man for the 10th pick? Would trading Scandella and pick 32 get it done? would leave you Dahlin, McCabe, Guhle and Pilut on the left side. Ig Quote

I am hoping he plays with and mentors Dahlin. I can see a Tallinder-Myers type relationship with Scandella-Dahlin. The reasoning that the Oilers want to trade the pick is why they have sucked for so long and will continue to even with McDavid. They haven't done a great job of drafting and developing defenseman. Probably one of the reasons they traded Hall for Larsson. Quote
LGR4GM Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 I have no interest in trading Scandella. I want a legit nhl veteran for Dahlin. I don't think we have the ammo or should trade for #10 overall. Quote
dudacek Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 I have no interest in trading good players for futures. Quote
Derrico Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Been there, done that. We have the young core in place. Desperately need veterans and higher skill guys to show them the way. I wouldn't trade Scandella. We need about 3 more Scandella type players up front. Quote

Ek has been around for a long time actually, and people will conitue to go to Hockeybuzz because there are actually good writers there, seeing his headlines are the price of admission to read articles from the several talented writers that post there. sabills Posted May 16, 2018 Report Posted May 16, 2018 dellowhockey Verified account @dellowhockeyFollowFollow @dellowhockey More Interesting listening to Rishaug speculating that the Oilers will go hard for a big name D; suggested Klefbom + 10 for Risto as an example. What a steal that would be. I'd probably do Risto for Klefbom straight up. And I don't even WANT to trade him. Quote
